Re: Brands Hatch MK2 MR2 race crash from a few years ago... any images of the cage?

Just found some images of the Rogue "simon" MR2 crash. I already see where I need to make improvements to some fuel systems I use.

Brands Hatch MK2 MR2 race crash from a few years ago... any images of the cage?

Guys and gals, I race a 1991 MR2 using a 3.3 liter V6 in endurance road racing events in the USA. We race at Daytona, to Watkins Gen to Virginia International. Pretty much at all the major east coast USA road tracks. I built my cage to our rule set, 8-points, NASCAR door bars and Petty bar to suppor...

Re: MR2 Super Edition

hmm.. that is the same exact Momo shift knob that came on my 1987 Shelby Charger GLH-S. I'll have to find the Chrysler part number for that. But it is the EXACT same shift knob.

Re: MR2 Super Edition

I got an MR2OC-USA PM from the owner yesterday... SE Shift Knob Hey Bill, thanks a ton for the help. Really, really cool of you. The chassis number is: AW11-0153205 I'm a little confused about the steering wheel. It's a Momo, but from what I've seen in other pics of other SE steering wheels, it look...

MR2 Super Edition

One of our USA members is stationed in Japan and just purchased an abandoned MK1b Super Edition. I was wondering if anyone has the parts breakdown with part numbers for this car. I have the scans of the MK2 Spider, and really need to get the MK1 SE scans too. He is missing the shift knob and we real...

Re: [Mk1] [Generic] V8 MK1

I knew it was a hoax!

I believe there is a nice 16 gauge steel firewall between the engine and the seat. Or there was the last time I welded on it.

Re: TRD V6 - Yay or Nay?

That would be my first V8 MR2. The one that is also shown in the link to www.v8mr2.com
We are doing another v8 mr2 using a 1986 chassis. This time we are not cutting the whole car up.

Re: Lilys V8

oh, and thirdly... my V8 Mr2 will be a track only car. I cant afford another street car with insurance and all. Plus I am out of street legal chassis that are in good shape :) Wife said no more cars :(

So yes, Paul will probably have the first street legal V8 MR2.

Re: Lilys V8

once the car is running we are having an intake manifold built to allow the use of 4 of these two barrel throttlebodies from a Chevy Camaro/Vette. 48mm venturies will provide enough breathing for each cylinder. By the way, the Northstar is a 4.6 liter engine. http://community.webshots.com/album/5511...

Re: Lilys V8

It is not static, just the webpage.
Decided to use another chassis. One of our Dutch friends showed Paul and I how to "get 'er done" by using the MK2 suspension.

now if only this guy could get the car finished :)

Next week my MK1.5 will finally be completed. Then the V8 MR2 gets put into the new shop we have. Hopefully it will be driving in the spring

Re: Bill Strong - one crazy guy

Did some junk yard hunting today. Found a 1975 Cadillac Hearse with a 500 inch motor. Found a FWD tranny on ebay for about 50 pounds and the hearse will run about 1500 pounds. The caddy has 52,000 miles on it and runs perfect. idles perfect and no smoke on rev up. It even drives. http://www.himmelst...

Re: Bill Strong - one crazy guy

something that the Yanks don't know about. Looking at the specs on the 500 inch Cadillac motor, for £5,740.28 I can buy a 8.9 liter V8. Yes, 8.9 liters. 540 cubic inches. Works on pump gas, 92 octane. 630hp, 670 pounds ft of torque (907nm). http://www.theengineshop.com/engine3.shtml Look at the 10.3...
