Re: Norwich, Norfolk meets? or interst in arranging some?
Hi folks I was going to get something organised when the weather warmed up next year. (Typically it hasn't been too bad so could of had a run recently) Are any of you members on pistonheads? I've been on a few runs this year with the Norfolk group and had a blast. Maybe worth joining up with this gr...

Re: JAE 2012 Event Report & Pics
Thanks to everyone from organisers to attendees for making my first JAE such a friendly event :D . It was also great to be able to put names to faces after being on the forum for nearly 2 years. After suffering from one intense hangover on Saturday morning (I don't drink normally) from half a case o...

Re: bit more advice, buy a turbo.
I went and bought a mot failure 3SFE rev 2 that was an mot failure due to rust fatigue through the drivers sill for 300 notes. Got all the spare bolts, screws interior/exterior second set of wheels for track days that ill need. Don't mind pulling it apart and using bits as it was not in good conditi...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Removing TVIS???
Don't most people just delete this and remove the butterflies? From what I gathered once boost is raised and more power produced these become a bottleneck for the induction. I just took the plate off the mani, unscrewed the butterflies, cleaned up and replaced. Or would I of been best to have a rpm ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] where to fit my oil cooler?
Yea what I've been thinking, originally had a t-peice on the eom oil pressure sensor but think the piping was too long as the temp reading was bad and the pressure also. Order of the day tomorrow is temp sensor in adapter at sump plug point. Short T-peice from oem oil pressure point for the new pres...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] where to fit my oil cooler?
I see your point in having the inlet end at the bottom! You will never know if it has air in or not the other way around. Well my plan is to mount it on the frame below the smic opposite where my air con compressor used to live. Seems like I have plenty of room there now and I'm hoping it will catch...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] where to fit my oil cooler?
Thanks for the info folks, I'm going to try and mount it near my smic, maybe a little lower on the engine wall there to hopefully catch some airflow from underneath. Also going to go with the vertical approach but if the inlet is on the bottom won't it be less effeciant as the return being at the to...

[Mk2] [Turbo] where to fit my oil cooler?
Due to high oil temps I went and got a 13 row Mocal oil cooler but no bracket as was used so will have to make one up myself.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Just wondered where I should fit it and where other people have fitted theirs?
The earls lines are around a meter(ish) prob a bit shorter so distance is limited.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: what oil temp should I be reading?
Do I still need the oem oil pressure sensor and have it connected? Or just leave it on and have a t-peice for the 2 pressure sensors? Sorry for all the questions just learning and trying to get the best advice! I'm hoping its just being affected by heat soak from the down pipe as my coolent didn't s...

Re: what oil temp should I be reading?

I have been thinking of a oil cooler as bought one a while back just wasn't sure where/how to fit as have a sandwich plate with oil pressure and temp already. I'm thinking...
