Loads in mine, but get that in my rusty civic daily too, both of them the cheapest cars I've ever bought and both get the most attention, I think some of it is older cars getting a lot rarer and new stuff all looks a bit generic...

Ok, heat shields off, the pipe has definitely sheared off, so checked the oil level which was fine, and screwed a bolt in the hole for now, gave it a clean and everything fine and dandy, was only going to run this summer and then maybe break it so might just leave it be see how it goes...

Yes, it would seem that it needs doing for sure, took it for a very short drive, not losing much oil but what is coming out is burning on the manifold and creating a nice plume of white smoke out the engine cover! So need to have a look in to it, I think it may just have come out rather than snapped...

So can someone tell me am I good to stick the dipstick in what's left of the hope and drive it for a bit?...

yes I am going to repair it, I just need a decent work around solution until I have time to repair it, so what can I do in the shortterm?...
