Still got mine off the road

no idea but i really hope i get 5th back but i may need a new gear box

To the car to the garage and that said there was no oil in the gear box (ow fantastic lol) so they topped up the oil and said to run the car and 5th may become free again so fingers crossed. Ow and my diff is fine the noise was the low pad marker scratching the disc ahaha.

How do I fix the problem?

Yep only 5th is the problem

Right was driving home last night everything normal till I got to the roundabout, I put the clutch in and tried to change gear. The gear would not change and if I let the clutch out it would stall. After a few minutes of mucking about with the clutch and gear stick she came out of 5th. This morning ...

I really wouldn't bother my self. But saving weight will make the car quicker but you really won't notice the difference.

Cars looks great, nice buy. Forum here is excellent, I'm on a few owners club sites for our other cars & this by far the most friendly & helpful... I agree with James :thumleft: fantastic group of people on this site, but you have got to watch out for redmr2 he goes crazy with sign smiley's...

I do know the earlier ones do not weight as much.

i think i am in the same boat. my diff clangs when i slow to a stop but it only does it after i driver for a long time. not looking forward to the huge repair bill.
