simple solution as well, although im not sure why it worked, but it did
I moved the 0v (gnd) wire I had going straight to battery onto a chassis bolt near the battery tray

insulation tape on the outside around the jets (to protect the paint)
then clamp a mole grip on the jet and twist / wiggle / destroy it till it comes off ?

scratch that - a single stick of dynamite carefully located would get them off
the original (and most aftermarket) ones are held in place by opposing plastic springy clip things underneath , usually a case of compressing them with pliers or wiggling with a screwdriver to pop them free.
Perhaps yours are glued on ?

surely if it was for de-icing the TB then it would not work until the engine is warm anyway? the small amount of coolant held in there when the engine is off for a while wont stop the TB icing if its cold and it wont help fith fuel atomisation either until the engine is hot, at which point the rest ...
