personally i like the UK plate (esp if you can get one thats slightly thinner as im sure the rgs relate to the letter size as opposed to plate size) looks cleaner some how, and after seeing it in the flesh today thats one clean car. looks awesome with good attention to detail 8) Was good to meet yo...

i saw some plates that were sculptured around the text. as the size and spacing of the text were legal there was no problems with MOT or the old bill.
cant find a pic of one but i cant see why you couldnt trim it right down to the edges of the txt

yep good advice above although you can do the base coat and then clearcoat a panel at a time. i did mine under a temporary marquee but the cost of equipment may make it better to prep the car and then let a pro paint it. youll get better finish with 2K paint but as it contains cyanide youll need an ...

Mmm.
Mapping, as far as I'm aware is what makes an engine run ( unless we're talking carbs and distributors with points, vac retard and centrifugal advance weights) yes an engine needs to be spec'd for the power wanted but the map is what makes the power.

yes dude, off to fennies for mapping in a month or so. pulling like a train though. dropped the boost from 1.8 -1.6 bar and pulled 5 deg of advance untill she's mapped. back end still lets go in second though :whistle: 2.2 is defo the way to go as long as the block holds out :silent: What kind of f...

haha, yeah i have a little drip from somewhere but finding the source is proving hard ](*,)
bung sounds like it is the right size for a temp sensor.
snapped bolts will cause a leak, lloks like its out with the easyouts when you get time then :(

nope just good old RTV. make sure that all the old is cleaned off and that the bead sits 'inside' the bolt holes. if the sealant has been put round the outside of the holes itll leak through the bolts. theres a diagram in the BGB i think for sealant placement. the bung on the oil cooler is for a sen...

plus i always steer clear of adding any thing to either the MAP sensor pipe or fuel pressure reg as a leak on either of them can cause engine damage.
but yes as peter said acssesory socket is good

rev 3 cams are good for over 450bhp.
i made 470 on stock manifolds cams and a very mild porting job (flash lines and steps smoothed) just depends where you need the powerband to be.
