Personally I'd refil and bleed the system, check the cap and see. When mine went it would drive fine off boost but on boost it would overheat. As soo. As I let off the temp slowly came down. Fingers crossed bud

If its any help Phil mines bored and stroked to 2.2 (87mm bore) and seems fine. It's had a bit more boost than yours as well. I really do think that keeping det away is the biggest help toward preventing a cracked block. I've cracked 2 and one of them was grouted ( bottom portion of the block filled...

Check for water round the plugs and cracks in the coil. Mine did this when it was wet after I removed the rain tray.

oh dear. spose these things happen. seems the more care we take to not damage cars the more likely it is to happen
