i'm also getting a slight shuddering on braking. I was wondering if that could be something to do with a faulty abs sensor.

Thats one expensive part!

Front Wheel Bearings

Is it possible to buy just wheel bearings for the front or do you have to buy the whole wheel bearing hub unit?
