Hi
Just wondered if anyone is going to be at the Goodwood festival of speed this year? I'm going down with the old man.
I think Last year a 3SGTE powered Celica was one of the fastest cars up the hill.

Re: so i got a rev1 and non staggered wheels, never slid or skidded!
I think the LSD makes a huge difference, if I want to get the ar$e out on my Rev2 Turbo its fairly easy (and I only drive it in the dry) and as far I know its fitted with the standard LSD.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Car won't start - distributor seems to have intermitant spark
Thanks for explaing all that, I really don't have a clue with this stuff! I would've made no sense if I'd tried to explain what you tried. I have ordered a new coil pack and ht leads from here; http://japanesecarimports.net/ I've also been quoted a good price for the igniter from here; http://www.tc...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Car won't start - distributor seems to have intermitant spark
Thanks for the link. I will have a proper look and try to check the error codes tonight. That page mentions rev3, mine is rev2 (I should've said) will that information still apply?
Thanks
Thanks

[Mk2] [Turbo] Car won't start - distributor seems to have intermitant spark
Hope someone can help me with this problem. My mr2 cut out last night, initially thought it was out of fuel as it was getting low  (shell garages are few and far between here) got some fuel and it started after some time. I drove a few hundred yards and it died again and wouldn't start. In the...

Re: Toyota Fully Synth 5w-30 vs Gulf Fully Synth 5w-40?
I asked about oil for my rev2 turbo before I serviced it and the response I got was to get fully synthetic 5w-40 with a minimum quality grade of ACEA A3/B3 if that means anything to you (it didn't to me but it's on the label). I also found this thread on oils which might be helpful: http://www.imoc....

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Drive shaft bolts
I picked them up today, they look the same but not actually checked yet. Mr T told me they should be tightened to a specific torque so I am going to buy a torque wrench to fit them. Hopefully they will stay in this time! On a side note there was some more interest in a southwest meet on the thread y...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Drive shaft bolts
6 bolts and 3 washers ordered from MR T for the bargain price of £32 something.
Just waiting for them to come in, then hopefully the problem will be solved!
Thanks for the help guys.

Re: Meets in the south west?
Hey
Have you seen this:

If any one is still interested in a SW meet, there is one being planned, would be good to have a meet up down here.

Re: Plymouth Area
Youu sorted your clutch/ gearbox then?
I'm still up for it, just need some nice weather!
Be good to do a rolling road day down here too, need to see what my 2 is making before i do any mods!
So that's 4 of us now, should be a good day. Still think there must be more members down here.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Drive shaft bolts
Thanks Gavin you explained it better than I could! Only one thing, the drive shaft didn't come completley out when this first happened so I don't think I have damaged the drive shaft but who knows! I assume I need to invest in a torque rench to fit the new bolts correctly, any idea where I can find ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Drive shaft bolts
I've had my car since April and covered about 3500 miles and at the weekend I lost a drive shaft bolt and this is the second time it's happened. Luckily we managed to find the bolt and refit it as a tempary repair to get me home but all the bolts were working loose. I am going to get a new set of bo...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev2 Turbo - Service advice
What air filter do you have? Some aftermarket filters require replacing at certain intervals. For example the filter on my HKS induction kit needs replacing every 10,000 miles. It's an Apexi I think, it was on the car when it was imported (i have the original packaging) so it could well do with cle...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev2 Turbo - Service advice
Hi, My MR2 is in need of a service and I don't know any good local garages who I would trust with it so I am planning to do it my self. Has some one written a good guide on here already which would tell me what I should be changing and what oil etc I should be using? If not then if some one could gi...

I would say I can feel it as well but it is faint and I can't be sure. When the weather improves I'll take her out and try and get a more detailed description.

Did you let the hitchhiker out of the boot...could be struggling to breath and trying to get your attention...lol..if it's only happening when you are going in a circle then I would doubt if it's the drop links and would be looking at a rotating part...is the noise coming from the left hand side of...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Knocking sound while going around round abouts, any ideas?
Thanks Goldy, I'll have a look at the anti roll bars too.
Thanks Sheppy, if I do need to replace the bushes I'll definately want uprated items. Where can I get the TRD ones?
