Yes the key fob activates and deactivates.
Ok thank you for your help, I am going to rip the alarm out tomorrow and fingers crossed it fixes the problem.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] HELP.... No power to starter motor
I just used the multi meter properly,
Yeah it does have an aftermarket alarm, I only got the car last weekend and trying work it out.
I can not see any details of a alarm manufacturer anyway. Would it be worth just ripping the alarm out?

I brought it off eBay and it said it was for all revs.

Steering wheel boss problem
Hi guys
I am after some help...I have just fitted a new boss and steering wheel. It seems harder then the normal steering wheel to turn and it clicks now and again when I turn the wheel.
Also the indicator stalk is tougher to move.
Have I fitted it incorrectly?
Thanks
Dan

I have exactly the same problem. I have changed the gasket multiple times. I am planning on doing it again but this time buy brand new seal washers too.

Thats strange, I seem to have two washers that have appeared, i think they were placed between the caliper mounting holes and the hub mounting holes.
Arent these needed?

Rear Brake caliper Washers?
Hi all
What are the washers that sit somewhere between the caliper and hub mountng holes for? Are they needed?
Also do both the washer sit between the caliper and hub or are they fitting in a different location?
Thanks
Dan
