Re: Help!!! advice needed, error 34 and no ooomph!!!

Thanks for asking 2mad :thumleft: Unfortunately the car is still sat in the garage ar$e in the air on axle stands. Got the belt and timing done (whether it needed to be done or not  ) but then after battling through that as a newb, I am now struggling to get the dog legged engine mount back ](...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Coolant pipe

No, it's the one referred to as the hose from hell, you can only get to it from underneath.
I saw another thread on it but no part number.
It looks awkward to change tbh. I think I might pass on doing it myself and then it still leak everywhere.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Coolant pipe

I think my coolant pipe on the underside of the engine has perished. If I leave the car standing still for any time I'm getting hissing and water dripping out onto the exhaust.
Does anyone have a part number please?( Rev3)

How easy is this to change?

Thanks in advance.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Bigger injectors, possible cam change and piggy back ecu.

16k would be silly money to spend on an engine in one go. It would be cheaper to go and buy a different MR2 and insure it than to do as Bob said. http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=184121 this is only a rev2 but he's open to a swap. It can be expensive chasing power goals so a rev3 would b...

Re: Hi there :) I'm a newbie, just bought a rev 3 turbo)need some advise on bhp mods

The MR2 ecu isn't mappable so I'd get a decent intercooler first then push the boost up a little to 17 psi around 1.2 bar. I'm not sure what stock level is. I wouldn't get a mappable ems until you want a bigger turbo and injectors and then you need to consider going forged. Use the search function t...

Re: Hi there :) I'm a newbie, just bought a rev 3 turbo)need some advise on bhp mods

I'd get a decent intercooler first, I've got an aftermarket ecu bigger turbo and injectors but not forged engine and I was hitting knock at 16 psi. As Bob Hatton said to me I hope you have a decent ic well it turns out the eBay ones don't cut it. I'm going to put a k type in the boost pipe flow and ...

Re: Is this any good for monitoring intake temps?

I'm looking at getting something myself as my temps during mapping were saying low 30's but the mapper thought probably a bit higher. Unfortunately due to time constraints as we were already behind schedule, we didn't have time to fit a ktype and a data logger. So I want to log my own data, then cha...

Re: Is this any good for monitoring intake temps?

From the same seller from your op. http://stores.ebay.co.uk//mainlinesensors Not as good as I first thought but left the link anyway. But for £36 Inc vat you could get one of these attach it with a phone clamp and it doubles up for engine bay temps you can't get near. Just get a longer k type I don'...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Stock internals safe (ish) level of boost

Just had an email from my mapper, inlet temp was low 30 's indicated but thought it felt hotter. Ic cooling fan had failed but even after repair those were the temps. Next time we're going to put some K type thermocouples on and a data logger and see what the temps really are. I'm thinking new ic a ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Stock internals safe (ish) level of boost

The car is being mapped this week and has been encounering det anything above 1.1bar getting 281hp. Im not sure what temps its been running at etc and will hopefully get more info later. Its a lot better than the 220hp from a previous cal(which was locked) running at 1.2Bar. From the quick email lat...

Re: has anyone heard of a typhoon ecu

I was just reading this thread on the ecu and the guy who developed it posted on page 2.

Nothing like a bit of retrospective research, done it a few times myself.

Is the software for the calibration readily available? If so it probably won't be an issue and you can keep us posted on how good it is :thumleft:

Re: My speedo isnt reading right what can i do?

With OEM 15" wheels and tyres my speedo over-reads by 4mph. Exactly as it should do. What size tyres and profile have you got fitted? By fitting the correct profile you should be able to offset the wheel size. My dad got the wrong profile tyres on his car when he put 18" on his Bimmer and...

I think I said something along those lines a bit earlier myself 2mad, when I originally posted I didn't know how long it would last.
I don't fancy water injection, which is why I have been looking at other alternatives.

Re: Cryo cooling

When I first stumbled on the Cyro cooling it was on the DEI website. They do a water sprayer kit which can be used in conjunction with or separately from the co2 kit. Also while watching this video the guy says it only lasts 3 minutes. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&e...
