I think your wise to change the thermostat, maybe check coolant blockage and drain / change the whole coolant. Its not worth risking ignoring.

They seem to mold around and fit with the standard bumpers.

I have just got mine from LSC and I would definitely recommend them. Ordered them, waited 10days, drove there and they swapped them for me in about 20mins.Very nice results, will try post some pics up.
