Re: mk1b floor pannels...

I'm scrapping one of mine because all the outer panels are rotten except the front wings and floor pans. I'm just going to use what I need for my other one and break this one

Re: Shopping list

In respect of the valves you could get three angle seats cut. I'm not convinced it's really going to give you much over just lapping in the valves. There's not much to be gained from porting the head, as the ports are too big already, however you could smooth the inlets, it won't do any harm really...

Do you know if mats for any other Toyota car model would be close fit in an MR2, say Corolla, Starlet etc.?

Why not email the ebay seller in macclesfield and as him to make some for a LHD car as he makes the mats he sells

Re: Alarm install - ignition colour

You should get a reading if you turn the immobiliser off and short the wire to a good earth. might be worth getting a wire from the negative terminal to the wire going to the sender

Re: coolant temp connector

No problem just give me a ring first as my job has some mad shifts at the moment. I have two complete cross over engines one for spares and one good one so we can get yours running mint. I would come over to yours but would never find the secret road even though I lived a mile away for 10 years.

Re: Alarm install - ignition colour

You could try taking the wire off the sender and shorting it to earth,it should read full oil pressure if not you will have to start checking the power going to the instruments. Is the temp gauge working correctly? If the oil pressure goes to full it might be the oil pressure senser thats faulty or ...
