[Mk2] [Generic] Custom wheels

Currently looking at wheel options to suite my custom wide arches I'm producing. I like the styling of te37sl/ te37-v and Desmond regamaster marquis promada. Are there any company's that produce custom width and offset wheels in these styles? I've looked at cosmis, work and image wheels and am not k...

Re: Correctly mounting Solenoid

As a point further to my previous comment. The only pro of mounting it on the bulkhead is it keeps hose lengths down to a minimum (which I believe the install manual States as a preferred solution criteria)

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil sandwich plates

Interesting, I'll bring a co-pilot out next time and get some better readings as driving on road, staying aware and reading 2 gauges is too much for me haha

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil sandwich plates

For the sake of knowledge building and comparison can anbody who has mounted the oil pressure sensor to a sandwich plate/ one of the 3 ports near the oil filter (as posted by shinny) posted up what figures they're reading. Mine (once the car is up to temp), is reading 2.5bar at idle, then a linear c...

Re: Correctly mounting Solenoid

I've recently mounted mine on a small bracket mounted to the bulkhead to cabin. But the solution 2mad has posted looks far easier to get to, God damn my huge charge cooler getting in the way.

Re: Rev 3 gts project.

Nice, that's a metal bracket pipes and electrics to be removed then. I bet there are loads of things like this in my engine bay that are redundant now I have uprated so much. Any general items people can think of? Also here's a dark pic of the avc-R and gauges http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s276...

Re: Rev 3 gts project.

Another long period of no real progress on the car but in the last few weekends I've finally installed my apexi avc-r ( really impressive trick bit of kit) and defi water temp, oil temp and oil pressure gauges in my custom modified centre console (will upload pics this evening). Whilst installling t...

Re: 3D model?

I do remember reading that thread years ago when I first bought my mr2, I actually pm'd the guy about the model and got no reply, nice to see its being shared now. Thanks for the help :thumleft: . I'm sure when I get down to it some schemes will appear in my build thread.

Re: 3D model?

Ah that's amazing, shall i pm you my email? I am currently making a custom wide arch kit for my car and it's easier to scheme things out in solidworks than trial and error. Also if I make it in Solidworks I can print out 1:1 section profile boards. I have looked into 3D printing/ stereolithography f...

3D model?

As per title does anybody have/ have a link to any free 3D models of a mk2 mr2. Preferably as a solidworks file but generic files also of great help.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil sandwich plates

Well I've been taking all my info from this (defi site) http://www.defi-shop.com/installation/sensor/ and states 1/8 pt which as I've previously stated is not the same as 1/8 npt. But having said that I ordered an adaptor as posted by shinny and received it today, the sensor threaded into it perfect...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Clutch for 400-500bhp

I have a 4 puck ACT on my car (380hp atm but going higher with a remap), is heavier then standard by 25% advertised but doesn't feel that much more than my friends stock one, but it is very harsh biting. I love it as it feels much more 'race car' (lack of a better description) but can easily achieve...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil sandwich plates

That all sounds logical. Thanks With regards to the first adaptor link (3/8bsp to 1/8npt), the defi senders are 1/8pt which is a Japanese spec which is functionally interchangeable with bspt threads. That adaptor has a 1/8 npt thread (American tapering) so the two would not thread into one another, ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil sandwich plates

Also if you have used these locations have you got a link to the adapters you used? Saves me trawling the internet, very lazy of me.(Assuming you used sensors with 1/8pt threads)
