Ok, now all I need to find out is what rev of each of these parts are required, I'm surprised some one who has done this mod isn't coming forward with all the info as I was under the impression it's quite a common choice?
Rev 3 engine would be easier, but the thicker block is appealing!
By the sound of it there is a lot of additional costly work required so I think I will have to stick with the original plan!
Apparently rev 5 blocks are another good alternative, has anyone ever known of a rev 5 to be getting broken for spares though?
I'm currently part way through purchasing all the required components for my engine rebuild, currently looking at using a rev 2 block bored to 86.5mm, and after reading several comments on here regarding cracks occurring am now considering using a 5sfe, my question is are 3sgte engine components usa...
have fitted and bedded in the discs and pads, brakes feel really responsive now and a lot sharper, got yellow stuff pads which are created a large amount of brake dust but was expect this, discs are spot on for the money
am looking at purchasing some new discs and pads as my current discs are seriously warped and pads are worn out, i'm guessing the discs i had were cheap and cheerful (couldnt say as they came on the car and this is the first time i'll be changing them), can anyone advise on the best website/ company...
Seen you out in this looks awsome in person! Has it had engine work? Cheers mate! Well it's only got a boost controller trd exhaust ssqv and apexi filter in terms of engine work, but I've just purchased a garrett gt3076r full kit with chargecooler tial wastegate etc the setup in the for sale sectio...

its already set to closed so i dont think thats the issue but cheers for helping , yeh i'll have another look in the manual, although i didnt seem to helpful when setting up as it doesnt tell you how to configure actual boost settings, but i'll give it another chance .
68, the same as the duty cycle, as this was the only way i could stop it creeping constantly, although i did read somewhere (cant remember) that a gain of 10 was sufficient so i dont know whether mine is wired in wrong ?
Currently have a gizzmo ms-ibc running (when running correctly) at 1.15 bar, the problem is that thet boost keeps creeping up and setting itself at a higher level, so i obviously adjust the duty cycle and gain to give me my 1.15 bar of boost again. ] How can this be stopped, i dont have a FCD but is...
another question, i currently have an apexi induction kit, trd exhaust, and a gizzmo boost controller set at 1.13, what sort of horsepower would i be looking at (ballpark figure) and any advice as to other modifications needed to see 300+ hp
cheers
i've just purchased a rev3 and the boost controller has 2 settings 1 of which is set at 0.65 bar and the second at 1.13 i was under the impression standard they ran bar so i pressume an increase of approx. 2psi is safe can anybody confirm this for me? cheers (sorry if this is a very newbie question,...
