I did mine just after christmas, easiest way was to bring it out upwards i cut away some of the seam sealer from the firewall and it came out easyish.
Not much room but doable from above without removing the inlet
Have you checked your brakes aren't binding? Had a chap in the garage today with both front wheels practically locked up when the car was raised off the floor. It would definitely be my first port of call and cheaper than paying for a clutch that (from what you've described) sounds healthy enough to...
Suzuki vitara, taught me how to mig weld   i know what you mean  welcome onboard :thumleft: Lol, the thing was like a sieve when i got hold of it. Many hours of "fun" were spent making it roadworthy - sills, flitches, body mountings etc. Taught me well though :) reminds...
Looks like a good car fella. If it's your first mid engine take it easy especially in the wet till you're used to it. Meanwhile welcome to IMOC and 2 ownership... hope you'll have fun with both. R. Must admit i was a bit apprehensive at first but i made full use of the snow and damp to get more of ...

Cool, that's what forums should be about tbf, didn't know there was a coventry meet either so i'll look into that one - I know about the wednesday night one in kidderminster which was last night i think - might try and get out to it next month. What exhaust are you swapping over to then? From what i...
Yea that sounds good to me mate if i don't sort it this saturday by all means come and gimme a chuck , don't spose you attend the mids meet do ya bein quite far away?
Whose this blz i keep hearing about? Local guru or something?
Haha, cannock chase is the midlands dogging hotspot dude! It's pretty shocking up there sometimes. I don't have the c spanners but i'm pretty sure a set of grips will sort the collars out, i've replied on your topic "which teins are these?" i'm gonna start by taking practically all of the ...
the 2 nuts back to back adjust the preload on the springs .i have these set up so there is just a tiny tension on the springs when the car is jacked up ,any more tension and i found they were just too hard on the road
That's confirmed my suspicions mate cheers, i'm gonna get mine on ...
Are your's pretty firm too? Not sure if it's more to do with spring rates myself but i bought the car with them fitted and lowered and i'm unsure if i can "soften" the damping slightly. Certainly would help with the state of the roads now the snows gone ](*,) I'm from norton canes near can...
Is anyone else running these on their mk2? If so does anyone know how to change the damping settings on them? I know its to do with the small hole in the top of the shock absorber itself but do you wind the allen key in, out? take it out competely and adjust internally? Any help will be appreciated....
Hey, i've been using the forum for almost a month now so thought i'd put some info up. Seems like a great helpful setup you've got here certainly better than a few forums i've used. The name's ad i'm 21 and live in the midlands i'm a qualified mechanic and i've just passed my MOT NT training course ...
I really should have a definitive answer to this as i'm on my 2nd day of MOT NT training, lol. Unless the driveshaft forms part of the suspension system it should not be tested on a rear wheel drive application, so imagine if you took away the driveshaft would it affect the rigidity and fixed positi...
Don't jump straight in and replace your o2 sensor. Get the multimeter our and test it first using the grey earth wire and the black output signal wire, you should be seeing a voltage fluctuation of around 0.6/7V at idle eg. 0.2V - 0.8V. Thats only a general rule but if you imagine it as a graph plot...
