Thanks for the input ...

Yes ! ... indeed so ! I am now fully aware of the dangers of interfering with the P.A.S. as a result of fitting mechanical 'delimiters'. Additionally, I've now also become aware of a huge potential fire risk in swapping out the instrument cluster for a UK spec one. Apparently, the wiring and connect...

'91 G-Limited Rev1 Import ... is it possible to delimit ??

Greetings to one and all ... I have a '91 G-Limited import ... I've read quite a lot about fitting the electronic delimiter packs to the rear of the speedo but as a Rev1 my car has a mechanical speedo. I know I can fit a mechanical convertor to the speedo cable at the gearbox end to get the clocks t...

My solution ...

I had the same problem with my aerial ! I bought one of those active 'sharks fin' aerials on eBay ... the sort you see on BMW's and the like. It's designed to accept a power/live feed to increase the reception but workd equally well without. I mounted it on the roof, which does call for cutting a ho...

[Mk2] [NA] Dreaded 'POP' after fitting after market radio

Greetings, I have a '91 MK2 import . A while back the radio died so I've fitted a new radio/cd unit which works well. However, I've now got the dreaded 'pop' when turning on the radio ! I've considered fitting a 'pop-stopper', but at £30+ it's not far short of what I paid for the new radio/cd ! I re...

Steering wheel boss ...

Greetings, Bought a Mountney 'M 293 X' steering wheel boss kit so I could fit an after market steering wheel to my MkII but now find that the boss will NOT fit as the car is an Import and the Mountney boss only fits UK spec cars so Mountney say. Has anyone got a 'work around' for this or know of a s...

After a minute or so it'll slow right down and then stop. Well, my one does at least

[Mk2] [NA] Correct Identification ...

Greetings to one and all ... I've just bought a MKII Import ('91) automatic with the original KPH instruments etc. I need to replace a few odds 'n' ends on the car but am finding it very difficult to obtain definitive info about the actual 'revision'/model for the replacement parts as I cannot find ...
