Re: Scary accident video

Just a useless american driver. :-: Zero talent, not a clue, in a nutshell that about covers it. I wouldn't worry too much, i just think this chap was a little short on, well......talent! I love the fact that IMOC is inundated with professional, talented racing drivers. Is Alonso talentless because...

Re: How to check for Headgasket Failure?

Its very unlikely that the headgasket has gone, its a Rev 3. You either have/had a leak, now a warped head due to overheating on long run/boosting or the thing which is every Rev 3 owners nightmare, a cracked block. Yea that is what I am thinking. Will a comp test or leak test show up a cracked blo...

Re: How to check for Headgasket Failure?

Hmm might work. Id still go down the comp and leak down test route myself to determine exactly what the problem is. Good luck anyway. Fingers crossed its nothing to serious! :thumleft: Sorry, never hit the reply button for the reply I had to your post #-o I will see about getting a leak test done. ...

Re: How to check for Headgasket Failure?

This might help mate Drive your car for 30 mins no boast at all then park it for 30mins and keep an eye on your temp gauge. If it over heats its your head gasket. If its ok after that. Then take the car out again and totally give it the beans as much as you can then pull over straight away, again l...

How to check for Headgasket Failure?

My cooling woes continue. Car is a rev 3 turbo and it drinks a bit of water (About 250ml a week, but only if the car is used for longish journeys 30-40 miles). I have changed/checked everything I can think of. Heater pipes seem fine. Rad cap has been changed. Bought a sniff test device and it came b...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Boost Issue

I meant to say, "get a boost gauge to see what boost your running"

and

"Have you changed your dizzy cap and rotor arm" lol

Does the car actually missfire? Any warning lights on the dash?

Any idiot can go fast in a straightline, much more fun to anhilate people through corners. :+: I think this may well be the first time I have agree'd with something that you have said. As said, anybody can dump a clutch and floor it away from some traffic lights. It doesn't take a great amount of s...

Re: Taught a lesson by a people carrier!

Failure and sucess in life is all a matter of opinion. Everybody has different aspirations in life and strive to reach different goals. A failure in your eyes will be a success in somebody elses. In my opinion, Ollie is a failure in life. He almost got beat by a people carrier FFS. What is wrong wit...

Done my friend. I don't see why some folk cut and plug the vaccum line. Just unplug it under the inlet manifold.

Decat and IC on the list next. Ain't looking forward to those jobs.

The existing one that goes from the compressor to the wastegate is too short to splice (and use) the MBC.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] ECU Upgrade questions

No point unless your gonna be changing more in the future. If your sticking with stock turbo then for the money you will pay the gains aren't really worth it. IMO of course. Get a boost controller on there and get 1.1-1.2 bar flowing and then spend the ECU money on handling mods.

Quick MBC Question

I have a MBC sitting here. Is it possible to fit it without any additional Vaccum pipe?

Would appreciate any quick replies as would like to get it done this afternoon as work is slow.
