Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Turbo Options for the 3SGTE
Would the extra 50 - 80 bhp power gain not also be a bit much for the Rev2's head gasket or is the head gasket only affected by higher Boost pressure? Correct me if I am wrong but I thought that only increased boost pressures would require a stronger head gasket and ARP bolts. Surely if it's runnin...

Fuel - How many miles to a tank do you get?
Just looking to see how many miles to a full tank folk are getting? I am assuming the MR2 tank is a circa 50L? Pretty much standard other than Exhaust and Induction Rev 3 Tubby. I am getting just over 200 miles to a tank and thats town driving with the very occasional foot down moments. Is that abou...

Anyone else's MR2 leak - Tintop?
I have a rev 3 tintop MR2 and it isn't very watertight. Namely the window seals it would seem. As a result if there is heavy rain overnight the car gets a bit damp and if there is heavy frost (like this morning) then I have to scrape the INSIDE of the windscreen along with the outside! What do I nee...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Swapping cylinder heads
If you are swapping heads then you would be swell as changing the cambelt as it will be off anyway. I would change the headgasket too although it will cost you a few bob. Skimming the head will only cost you about £40. Second option seems like the much better option to me, will save you a lot of tim...

HSD Coilovers - Droplink length
Hi, I have recently had some HSD coilovers put on the 2 and now my standard droplinks are fooked. Was speaking to the mechanic who fitted them today and he said that he had to rotate the ARB upwards in orders for the droplinks to fit. Can anybody tell me which length of droplinks I need to order? Ch...

Funnily enough I was just thinking. Wtf am I going to do when the blizzards come  Last year I had my Glanza, FWD and it was hard enough to pilot in a straight line, nevermind a RWD. To be honest I think when the snow does come then I'll resort to public transport. I am always terrified drivin...

To be honest, the way I feel about the car at the moment, it wouldn't have been such a bad thing if it did go up in flames

Doesn't sound like big ends to me.
When they go they tend to go with the the RPM's.

What a day!
Well today has been a very eventful day with my 2. Firstly, I was driving like normal. Conditions slightly wet so taking it nice and easy. Comes off a roundabout onto a dual carriageway. The way you exit the roundabout means you exit onto the outside lane of the dual carriageway and I needed to be o...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Knocking from the rear
Im almost certain it is suspension related, either that or possibly engine mount as you get the knock when letting off the accelerator suddenly or going back on it again. I reckon (hope) it's just a bu88ered topmount. Will find out once I put on my new HSD's at the weekend. Hopefully it is just a to...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Knocking from the rear
Yea I guess it was a bit of a vague description.
I'll be changing coilovers at the weekend so will wait and see if it still knocks after that.
I'll just work through a process of elimination.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

[Mk2] [Generic] Knocking from the rear
I am getting quite a bad knock from the rear (Dirvers side) when going over any bumps or when letting off/going on the accelerator. Could it be my top mount? My drop links seem to be in good shape. I know the ARB bushes could do with being replaced but I don't think its that knocking, it sounds and ...
