[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 2 speedo problem
Ive had my rev2 turbo for a few months now and it has an annoying problem with the speedo. Ive had the cluster out and it has a black box wired into it. It also looks like someone has stuck new numbers over the old kph to change it to mph and top speed on the clocks is 180mph. However it seems to be...

Re: Turbo for less than £2000 ??
I was sick of the escort turbo -it ran fine, needed a new starter motor (as they all do!) and could have done with the back arch resprayed again. Roof didnt fit that well though so could of had that sorted for the price of a second hand roof. But i was after something with a bit more kick, a bit mor...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev1 to Rev3 conversion information
Is that all there is to it? Doesnt seem like much?
Whats the main reasons to do this swap apart from better fuelling?
If im gonna stick to around 280-300bhp (only running near standard at the mo) then is there any point of upgrading to rev 3?

[Mk2] [Turbo] Probs with jap import rear lights
Ok, i got my rev2 a while ago and decided to put some rev3 lights on it. I followed the stickies available but found i had no lights at the back, and also blowing fuses. I put my old loom back in and modded it so the lhs loom goes to the lhs reverse light and vice versa. Now all works ok (the rhs li...

Fitted my new rev 3 lights today, luckily came with all the loom already modified so just plug in. Even got the bits to do the quad light mod but decided against it at the mo as had other things to do but will do this eventually. Lucikly got all the bits in the same colour so straight swap over. Her...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] jus fitted mbc anf fcd and gettin major overboost HELPPP!!!!!
had probs with mine - you will have to adjust it - dont just screw it all the way then screw all the way out as i found mine didnt do nothing when doing this - adjust it a couple of turns then take it for a blip - you should see some differnce

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] jus fitted mbc anf fcd and gettin major overboost HELPPP!!!!!
sounds like same as mine. Have you put the t piece the right way round? Also i had problems adjusting my boost with the controller in the cabin (had it in the cubby box - though it made it so i couldnt adjust the boost at all and stuck at about 0.5 bar) - make sure you are using silicon piping as th...

Re: Temp Guage sticking on cold then bouncing around then going back to cold...
take the spade connector off it and earth it - if the temp gauge shoots straight up (with the ignition on obviously) and is steady at the top then you need a new unit. About a fiver from euro car parts i paid for mine.
