[Mk2] [Turbo] Uniroyal Rainsport 2 -> ???

Hi all,
I have been using rainsport 2s on my MR2 Turbo with 17inch rims for last few years - I really liked them - I need to replace them. The new rainsport 3 appear to be asymmetrical rather than directional thread pattern.

Anyone have any alternatives or thoughts on rainsport3s?
Thanks,
Tony

Hi,
Does anyone know the custom init string that is needed for MR2?

https://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Custom_Init
Here is the custom one for BEAMS:

Re: Purple Rev 5 N/A?

My black tin top Rev 2 Turbo has never quite hit the mark for me, and two of the reasons are the roof and the colour. I'm a big fan of the purple Rev 5 UK t-bar cars, and a 3SGTE powered one would be my ideal MR2. Are they pretty hard to come by? I have never really looked, yet. Turbo cars are grea...

Re: Any Isle of Man MR2 owners

Take the A36 west from Foxdale, it's a better bit of road than the TT mountain bit by some margin. Also, on the mountain take the road take the A14 down and just keep going, it's lovely down there too. :thumleft: If you're going to do the TT course, get up early and do it before it gets busy. Nothi...

Driving in EU - breakdown options?

Hi,
What do people do as a pre-caution before going on EU driving trip, and for breakdown cover while away? I presume getting a MR2 towed back from Spain would be a nightmare scenario?

Do people take a list of MR2 country clubs with them just in case?

All comments appreciated?
Thanks,

There is a Rev5 Beams available, if that tickles your fancy? It's in the for sale section! Possibly just as rare and sought after. :thumleft:

Cheers for the heads up - I am addicted to the turbo since the first time i drove one :)

[Mk2] [Turbo] 5th gear whine at 86kmph @ 2600rpm

Hi, I have noticed a whine in 5th gear at 2600rpm when there is neutral torque through the gearbox - what i mean is when i am just providing just enough power so that the car is not accelerating nor decelerating. The bearing whine issue, it only happens in 5th gear at 86kmph at 2600rpm, so to test i...

Re: Major boost cut at higher revs

More problems with the car this week. Rev 3 turbo running 1.1 bar on a standard ecu, been running ok at this for a few months until this week. When I go full throttle and hit full boost the car will pull cleanly until higher in the rev range and then just has a huge misfire and nearly throws me thr...
