Re: dump valve help please
the rev 1 and 2 have an air flow meter, but i cant see how the hks ssqv could affect the performance on a rev 3? ive got one, for no other reason than to stop that annoying goose honk i had before with the recirc. has anyone used the recirc on the ssqv?

Re: Rare exhaust?? What have you got?
ive got the fujitsubo ti, and its a nice exhaust. sounds good when thumping it through the revs, but fairly quiet when tooling. ive added a dp as well, and it really sounds good. probably not the most free flowing, but its been on since it was imported 6 years ago, and still looks new. does anyone k...

Re: Blow off valve
ive got a decat, blitz sus induction, which sounds great, and a blitz duel solenoid boost controller which is a good choice. got it second hand from japan, so cheap and reliable! i wouldnt disconnect the pipe, it does sound like bus doors opening! to be honest, ive tried blitz bov, bailey and a few ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] intercoolers
ive got an xs power intercooler and ive had no problems. they are welded and some do crack, but they are also 500 quid cheaper.
they will both do a good job, better than the stock one.
if you could get a second hand one then get it, but the xs one seems fine for moderate mods.

Re: Rev3 Turbo hesitation & backfire
i had a similar problem. it turned out to be the turbo sensor(vgv or something?) i had this removed when i had my boost controller fitted, now no more probs. i also changed my plugs which were covered in oil from a leaking gasket, and my leads were also bu88ered! also changed the lambda sensor(the f...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] spark plug removed coverd in oil
make sure you get your gasket from toyota as the others off some of the sites are not to good.i had the oil in the plugs holes to and it was the gasket. if it was anything more serious you would know! get new plugs and leads, as they will probably be oil soaked too. its fairly easy changing the cove...

Re: Bailey Motorsport Dump Valve
yea, is easy, pull the old 1 out, put the new onee in. there is a good posibility the bailey valve is not holding boost. thay are not the best, but if your happy with it, keep it. im not an engine man normally, but to get to knoow your engine, it helps to get in there and have a go. all the info you...

Re: Bailey Motorsport Dump Valve
had a look at your pics, and i have to say that is a wierd setup. to start with you either have the stock valve or an aftermarket valve and block the stock hole off. are you going to put a newintercooler on? if you are get rid of the bailey, if you aint, get a new piece or pipe which has been hacked...

Re: Does anybody run Magnecor KV85 on a Rev1 turbo?
i have to say ive had magnecore leads on all my mr2`s both na and turbo and ive only got good words for them. sometimes they may pop off but poking the air bleed hole with a pin sorts that out. if your old plugs still are a little high then there must be a problem. any leads should cover the plug ho...

Re: Bailey Motorsport Dump Valve
i think there are 2 ways of fitting it. you can get an adaptor plate from forge motorsport and put it on a lenght of silicone and attach it to that where the standard one fits, or cut a section out of your intercooler pipe and use the chrome t piece it comes with. either way they are not very good a...

Re: help me get my car back to glory
well, got it all done. my knuckles and hands are raw. changed the cam cover gasket, which was ok, except for the bracket at the bottom which is screwed onto the cover. tricky to get off. the magnecore plugs worked fine without the clips on the disi end. the lambda sensor went on ok, but i think i cr...

help me get my car back to glory
just a few questions so i can get my rev 3 turbo back up and running for jae. 1. what torque do i use for the spark plugs and the cam cover nuts? also is there a specific way of tightening the cam cover nuts, in a circle, front to back etc? 2. got some magnecore leads from rogue, they say you cant g...
