Re: F 800 EAM - any update/news?

Yeah I would love an mr2 as well sorted as this one as a tarmac rally car, with a decent N/A engine as I suggested it would be a match for many of the top mk2 escorts and even some of the Darrians out at the moment.

f800 eam

I remember seeing various postings in the past about this car on several mr2 forums. This car is one crying out for a stroked 2zzge (ie 1980cc) conversion with itbs and an uprated c64 exige gearbox and drive shafts (that can be machined to allow aw11 outer hubs to be fitted). Although this would be ...

Re: mk3 engine in a mk1

Looks like we may soon see a 2zzge converted MK1, seems that Woodsport will be offering this conversion and have a car booked in already (look on MK1 MR2 Club forum 'affiliates' for details).

Re: mk3 engine in a mk1

I have done some more research on this engine and it seems that the lotus exige owners have been doing this upgrade for some time. Various American tuning companies have developed stroker kits (eg Monkeywrench Racing) but do appear to be expensive. Interestingly with this level of developmet the C64...

Re: mk3 engine in a mk1

Sorry to resurect an old thread, I have been considering this as a conversion especially as AW11RALLY has proved that a Lotus Exige gearbox can be fitted and works. However I would like to know if anyone has any information about increasing the capacity of this engine. I understand that the basis of...
