Re: mk1 overheating?????? anybody?
I had similar problems to yours, specifically coolant leaking from the front, temp gauge behaving erratically, bouncing idle. A new rad cured the leak, I also changed the coolant, it's been top notch since. (: I agree with Lauren: When sorted the mk1 cooling is very good and won't overheat, either h...

Re: MK1 owners - the not so definative guide geometry settings!
yes, I understand now!! Thanks.
It sounds like RCA's would raise the roll centre but make bump steer a lot worse

Do you get any noticable bump steer from yours? Does it ever feel squirrelly or anything like that? Do you think the loaded rear tyre ever goes into toe out?

Re: Head porting
How is the 30% figure calculated? 30% more air flowing into the cylinder
-> 30% more torque?

170BHP from what exactly? I don't think head work with standard cams will give you 170.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Did your roll centre adjusters make a difference?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Does the RCA really make the toe control worse
(I don't fully understand how yet)? Is it slight or significant?

Re: lightened flywheel ?
Hey Lauren, when I come to change my clutch (still original I believe after 89000miles), do you think it would be worth hunting down an early flywheel and new early clutch? In other words, do you think there is that much difference? Actually thinking about it, I'll have to see what I have already, I...

Re: MK1 owners - the not so definative guide geometry settings!
Think you may well have won me over, reckon i can talk to the beards and find someone who could make me some roll centre adjusters up. wow!! 8) When I fitted my poly bushes I found a spacer, between the ball joint and hub, on one side of the front suspension... weird! I left it out because it was o...

Re: Can I remove my steering wheel and put it on straight?
It is possible to take a little off the track rod on one side and wind it on the other, so the tracking is right and the steering is dead straight.
Take it back and tell the guy to do it properly!

Re: MK1 owners - the not so definative guide geometry settings!
thinking about what you just said John, maybe its my lugs on my car that are the wrong way round as max camber happens in the 12 o'clock position! heehee (; I am getting another set of struts for my Mk1 from Toni shortly, i'll have a look at them before i put them on. Toni, what happened to your ol...

Lauren, do you know what the differences are exactly between mk1a and mk1b rear suspension? Maybe it could give a clue how to improve things.

Mike - sounds like good results! Let us know how much castor the aligners reckon you're now running. I've never found anyone selling RCAs for reasonable money. I think there was talk of someone making some back on the Yahoo list ages ago, I can't remember who though. Lauren's comments are good thoug...

Re: Back to standard?
What intake do you have exactly, and is it noisy all the time, or only when you boot it and the T-VIS kicks in?
(:
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I'd be tempted to leave the intake as you have those cams
(what are they like???) and go for Lauren's custom exhaust idea.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

I've voted Croft, it brilliant, but not too fussed, Anglesea is good, and could always trash my old 14" tyres at Elvington
(:
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Will the other two be sessioned as well as croft, i.e any chance of open pits?

Re: Every Wednesday @8.30-late, Live For Speed online racing!
I looked at the replay of 'the incident' and it clears my name completely of any intentional foul play :) - now the second collision we had which then involved Vashy... Are you insinuating something (; Do people know that the 200SX owners club have a LFS race team linked in with their official uk o...

Re: MK1 owners - the not so definative guide geometry settings!
Don't think its worth putting roll centre adjusters on, particularly for a drop of 30mm... I disagree. When you lower McPherson struts (without roll centre adjusters): -the roll centre moves down a lot more than the centre of gravity, increasing the tendency to roll. (In reality it won't really rol...
