sounds like a blown headgasket to me. next time learn to look down at the fuel gauge and other dash gauges every so often...... maybe even the speedo if it takes your fancy. but in the mean time, its a hard lesson learned
trade price is about 500 for one of those so if you dont pick it up for that, i wouldnt bother. there's a decent rev3 turbo on pistonheads at the mo for 1150
feedback from me is that from the pics it looks like too many different shades of red, there are too many niggly issues with it and it generally looks like an abused example given the issues already stated. see how it goes on auction and if it doesnt sell, maybe address some of those issues
there's a replica turbo on ebay at the moment. i was tempted but the list of things that need sorting to get it nice again are quite long and pricey http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-MR2-TURBO-TRD-GTS-/160581778946?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item25636b7e02 full respray decent set of wheels engine issue f...
it did look cleaner with the greddy front and silver wheels i would price it at 3.5k and see how you go from there. the one below had some very tasty mods and sold for a lot less..... but that was a one off http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280661546464&ssPageName=STRK:MEW...
yes he is renowned for telling porkies and his reputation does precede him but he still persists in the belief that someone might fall for it..... although he has been trying to sell the expensive one for about 6 months now
i thought my comments were constructive given that i was the only person who actually presented facts on market prices rather than giving my opinion or guesstimating what it would be worth. but i guess that just because i presented what actual market values were many people took that personally give...
not wanting to go into a **** slinging match. all i would say to anyone buying this car is to remove the t-bars and re-fit them and see how you feel about the chassis after that
having owned this car about 18 months ago, i think any potential buyer should be aware that the person i sold it onto crashed it causing damage to the front and rear bumpers. also the mileage was around 69000 when i owned it and the speedo wasnt working properly not wanting to mess up your thread bu...
Oh and i'm sure you've had more MR2's than me and Matt put together  Matt, i'm hoping you'll be pleased to hear your zircon blue MR2 is parked on my driveway, happy as larry and running strongly :) Ross :thumleft: yeah another one running his mouth, typical imoc member. gets all wound up when...
If you, not your mate, could go out and get a selection of turbo's for under £2k I would take you seriously. The fact your mate once got a car on the cheap means nothing to anyone. This seller could fix his issues easily enough and IMO sell that for comfortably over £2k pmsl, look on pistonheads an...
Have a word - £1,500 for a turbo - not a chance. you are obviously one who has never picked up a bargain my mate bought this one for £1800 last year with no issues whatsoever http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120547582806&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT he sold it on to someone ...
i almost bought a similar styled and modded black tbar turbo for 2k a couple of months back. that one didnt have a worn gearbox or faulty lambo doors, so i would price yours at about 1.5k..... a worn synchro may as well mean a replacement gearbox as i dont know of anyone who will replace the synchro...
