Re: Just sold my rev4 sonic shadow and i'm gutted

Lol no diesels for me please! Think it's because there are so few good MR2's about now that i know how hard it'll be to find one as good. Dont diss the diesel power mate, my missus 04 plate 330 beemer leaves mr2 turbo's for dust, even mildly modded ones. And my Honda civic 2.2 diesel will stay alon...

Re: Micky T Drag Radials fitted!! look sweet, but errm, tight fit! advice?

My droplinks are the other way round, dont think it affects thier purpose whatever way you fit them, but looking at that pic, your not going to give yourself any more room turning them round.
I aggree with Lewis and hammer them back as far as you need to.

Re: Repairing a boot floor where a Boot Mounted I/C has been - doable? Worth it?

When you cut the floor out your old car, just cut it out as close to the walls as you can, that way, when its fitted over the hole, it wont fall through will it. plus it wont look like its been patched up either.

Re: Changing front shock

If you havent got any spring compressors, its a good idea to get some mate, will make everything so much easier. You can get the top mount back on without it, but like i say, will be easier with. The rubber your refering to will probably be a split gaiter, would of origionaly coverd the whole length...

Re: Changing front shock

The top mount is supposed to spin so no problems there. Seriously, if it doesnt wanna come off, hit it harder, top mounts are well known for seizing onto struts, plus i think its a tapered fit so its naturaly tight. As for getting it back on the car, its fiddly but using a jack is the same way i did...

Re: Changing front shock

Presuming the shock is removed from the car now, just give the top mount a few taps with a hammer from the under side of it.
Oh and if you havent got the spring compressed, dont have the top mount facing you when your hammering it.

Headlight adjusting

My car failed the MOT yesterday because the offside headlight is aiming too low, the guy ws going to adjust it there and then so he could pass it, but its not a simple screw adjust job, it looks like the whole headlight unit is sitting too low when its popped up, i can manualy raise it up the rest o...

Re: brake calliper trouble

Not sure if rev 3 calipers are the same as rev 2, but ive got a caliper re furb kit ( all rubbers, clips etc ) for the rears, bought but didnt need in the end, £20 posted. Camskill are charging £25 for just 1 caliper, this kit does both rears.

Re: Ferrari replicas? WHY?

When i put the pics on, i did say "I personaly dont consider my car to be a "Ferrari replica" as its a very long way away from the real thing" so it was a waste of time pointing out all the bits that dont look right, im fully aware of them. I did not build this car, how you see i...
