My 202 Black Rev 2 GTS (Pic Heavy)
Well, I bought my MR2 Turbo back in 2009, and have done a few things to it since, so I thought it was about time to put together a small "build" thread. Not sure you can really call it a build when it's just bolt-on mods really, but anyway, here goes: As I said, bought back in 2009, after ...

I just bought a set of high & tight from Peter @ S-Bits for about £90 but without ARBbushes (as they come with Whiteline ARB's).
I think it has all I need.
Do S-Bits have a website?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] polybushes - a complete kit or not?
I was kind of debating doing this in stages... Could someone confirm this as a definitive list of bushings to be replaced? Front (per side) Control Arm - Inner Bush Anti-roll Bar Mount to Chassis Bush Strut Bar To Chassis Mount Bush Rear (per side) Control Arm Lower - Inner Bush Anti-roll Bar Mount ...

Once the cover is off, it's easy enough to get a 10mm(?) socket on an extension back.
Watch and don't loose the bolts after you remove it.

Re: Geometry etc
Hmmm, I've never removed an airbag steering wheel before. So not totally sure, maybe just a case of removing the Airbag SRS fuse and off you go? If it's any help - to remove my non-airbag steering wheel you just pull the center cover off, un-do the horn button, then underneith that is a big bolt. Un...

Re: Geometry etc
Yeah can you not park the car so the wheels are all straight, then unbolt the steering wheel and plop it back on so its straight aswell? Sounds like its just the wheel that wants taking off and putting back on so it looks right? +1 Sounds like your steering wheel as been removed at some point, and ...

My Turbo is a bit like that, I tried tightening the cable a bit, but made no difference.

I have taken my car to the mechanic with the same idle problem. Unfortunately, nothing came up on diagnostics I don't think this kind of problem will throw a code? Did you have the engine warning light coming on? I'm waiting for it to get a little warmer, then attempt to pull off the throttle body ...

Any chance this could be down to a knackered coil/igniter?

There are two vacuum / pressure take-offs on the back of the manifold. One feeds the MAP sensor the other is bunged - make sure the bung hasn't fallen off!
Can you point them out?

Nah, no aftermarket BOV, just the stock one.
I am leaning towards it being the Idle Speed Control Valve (under throttle body). Think it might need a quick blast of carb cleaner.

Rev 2 Turbo Revs Dropping Problem (with YouTube Video)
Hi Guys, I've got a bit of a question... When I'm in a queue of traffic moving slowly (say 1st/2nd gear 1500rpm) and then come to a stop, so dip the clutch, my revs seem to take a nose dive right down, nearly stalling, and it then bounces them back up again, then down then up and settles at idle spe...

Front bumper/skirts/Rear spats or rear bumper.
A border front on a standard car will look odd.

Re: 16" Wheels follow dips in the road. UPDATE: NOW WITH GEO SETTINGS.
So you changed steering components or not? I have refreshed the suspension components listed above. Not changed steering componants specifically, haven't track rod ends as yet - they seem to be fine, not much play in them. Anything else you could recommend checking? What geo settings did you have d...

Re: 16" Wheels follow dips in the road. UPDATE: NOW WITH GEO SETTINGS.
So is there any way to combat this? (other than going to the hassle of selling the 16" wheels, and droping to 15")? Is there any way to modify the geo settings of the front wheels to stop it happening? More or less Camber / Caster / Toe in / Toe out etc? Or is it just something everyone wi...

28PSI at the fron 34PSI at the rear.
They're checked monthly too.
Also, I have ran it over a flat long surface and found no issues.
It's the same on the motorway for example, totally fine.

16" Wheels follow dips in the road. UPDATE: NOW WITH GEO SETTINGS.
Hi folks, I have a set of 16" Super Advans, and the car seems to tramline - following any dips in the road etc. If I was to drive it along an average side-road with the odd dip and pot hole, then let go of the steering wheel, it would be all over the place. It's been the same ever since I've ow...
