I am leaning more away from hg failure, sounds dodgy the old owner removing the stat. Unless the hg is totally xxxxx in more than one place.

Update it over heats on idle too. Also the old owner had took out thermostat....

He old rad was leaking so he changed it for a second hand one, he came roughly 20 miles to my house with no problems then we went for a good blast and temps stayed halfway when we cruised for a while at 30 that's when temps went up. It doesn't overheat on idle only when Under load and that is with f...

Why would the fans be constantly on though after it over heated? It worker fine until we went for a blast in it....That's why I think he's popped the hg.

He has bled it properly and has review it just to be on the safe side. The fans are constantly on now since it has overheated too forgot to mention that.

I ran water only on my first 205 and was fine but on the rest I have owned I have always used neet coolant.
