Re: MR2 MK2 Anniversary restore, refresh &tasteful modification - project begins

Reminds me of when I had my red tubby resprayed, it might be worth taking the bumpers off as the finish will be better, at least thats what I found.

I also own number 155 of 250 what number have you got, some pics of the finished paint job would be great. Nice to see a fellow enthusiast.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Piper Cams & What is the standard Valve lift on tubbys

Hi as above I'm looking to upgrade to 264 profiles and piper seem to have a nice range but I didn't know if they are classed as high lift at: 10.46 inlet 10.41 exhaust I would like to keep things non contact and direct bolt in so any advice would be great. Also what is the standard valve lift I have...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Chargecooler Pressure rating??? Any ideas

Hope I didnt open a can of worms. It is a fact of the larger pumps that I was looking at the power input was a fair amount higher so more requirement from the alternator.

Out of interest do people have the chargecooler pumps on costant or do people wire them up to a thermostat on the rad?

Thanks

[Mk2] [Turbo] Chargecooler Pressure rating??? Any ideas

Hi guys,

I have found a pump that I am looking to use for my charge cooler which flows a very healthy 2255 l/pm however the PSI is at near 40......

I know chargecoolers work really well with a good rate of flow and pressure but at 40 PSI is that too much.

Thanks everyone.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 3SGTE to 5SGTE 2.2Ltr QUESTIONS PLEASE HELP???

Great stuff, well I think I might start a project build as the block has come through.

Should be mighty torquey with the 3076 GTX going on and chargecooler shortening the air flow.

Thanks for the info.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Bronze tint windscreen supplier please...

no worries, I dont know if it would make any difference but it has only been in for 7 months opposed to the normal 15yrs+ so your welcome to try.

I will get the companies name of where I got mine from. I did pay cash in hand but they did a great job.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Brake upgrade

Hi yes they will fit, but as mentioned you will need the adapter bracket from Gaz, I have just had my brackets come through.

Plus those calipers are a great price, I thought I got ine cheap for £60.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Bronze tint windscreen supplier please...

I have a windswcreen 1 month old fitted to my Rev1 tubby, I believe it was bronze tinted. If you were happy to arrange someone to take it off my car your welcome to have it for £90. Its in brand new condition.

Im based in Kent near Rochester if its of any interest?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Japspeed exhaust users

I had one and was excellent, fitted straight on, good looks and no handling issues.

There is one on ebay now very little use, £125.00

Just type in MR2 Japspeed. Enjoy.

Re: MR2 GT-T Bar Turbo £700 Quick Sale Needed Urgently

Haha, sorry I'm not the weekly payment store, haha. With regards to the two leaks, the oil I believe is from the turbo return pipe but is so difficult to see. I cleaned the area and that's the closest location I can narrow it down to by using a mirror. The water leak is coming from the violent pipe ...
