Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Electrical gremlins visitation.
To get it out after its off the pivot mount you need to take the middle pipe off your exhaust, the one between the decat and the backbox. Then remove the mount that it fastened too. You can get the alt out now between the engine and subframe. We did it this way on outruns rev 2 and my rev 3. Can't se...

Re: Red Rev 3 tintop turbo. 4 years on and still tinkering. Been on the rollers.
Tbh it felt pretty good. I'd messed with the ebc to make sure it didn't overboost it wasn't coming up to full boost as quick as jamie had it but once over 5k and a bar it felt like a different car.
will have to ring evotune and hopefully can get me squeezed in pretty quick.

Re: Red Rev 3 tintop turbo. 4 years on and still tinkering. Been on the rollers.
While I was looking at the above boost problem I knocked up a leak tester with a couple of caps and a tyre pump. Only had 2 small boost leaks which was fixed by simply readjusting the position of the jubilee clips but I did notice the biltz bov wasn't quite right. Removed it from the car and found t...

Re: Red Rev 3 tintop turbo. 4 years on and still tinkering. Been on the rollers.
Had a look at the turbo and actuator and all was fine. Wondered why I couldn't get full boost. When I bought the car it already had a mbc fitted and I never messed with it as was happy with what it running and only had a ebay smic. later i fitted the radtec and then fitted the ebc it was just plumb ...

palletways
big complaint here for palletways my dad used them to deliver a milling machine from near essex to the northeast. They took his money and said it would be with him on Wednesday last week. It came and went no delivery. Everytime we chased it up we were met with either being hung up on or pretending n...

Re: Is it possible to use heater rear windscreen as FM/AM aerial
The 09 civic I had did the same as dans. Didnt pick the radio up that well and when used rear demist it was next to useless.
Saying that in all my years of mr2s the amount of times I've had to use the rear demist is practically nil.

Re: Big overheating problems
You also say the radiator is leaking a small amount? Have some one rev the engine while watching your leak. Its more than likely to squirt out under pressure. This will also be letting air in and the system wont be pressurising properly either. A garage could do a leak down or sniffer test for you a...

Re: Project REV5 Turbo ............ Lots of big changes
So its ended up red then. Cant argue at that. Everyone knows that reds the best 8) . The rear sail panel just has a few bolts inside the headlining and the screws at the bottom near inspection panels. Then it requires a really good tug. Suprisingly a few clips and not been moved for years it gets a ...

Re: Red Rev 3 tintop turbo. 4 years on and still tinkering. Been on the rollers.
Went over outruns yesterday and did a few jobs. Not many pics by me but if outrun ever updates his thread he may break the internet. Spent a good few hours with 2 broken aerials and as usual the easy way was the right way but was done last. At least we know them inside out now. Literally. http://img...

Have you checked the boot light is switching off? Stick your mobile in the boot while video recording.

Re: Someone please help!
Hard to tell there. Is it leaking from the threads? Or has the pipes gone? If its the pipes then agarage would just repair with normal brake pipes I'd imagine as they certainly look the same. Just have to buy the right bore.

Re: Battery Drain 'DOME' fuse
How I tested mine was just to lock it with the key and not arm the alarm. Battery was fine the next day so got a new alarm fitted. Not exactly scientific but it worked lol.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Gearchange at high revs
We changed the clutch fluid and adjusted the pedal on outruns yesterday after he had similar problems after a clutch and gearbox oil change. Its spot on now. Very suprising how much lighter the pedal is after a fluid change too so might be worth a go.

My first mr2 had a drain and that was the alarm was furbarred. If the lights are on that circuit then your boot light could be staying on also.

Re: Any views on Rogue's Radtec CC system?
I fitted my radtec last year myself. Kit is quite good and everything fits well. Core is pretty big like. Rad seems good size and again easy to fit although I made my own brackets. I haven't got my iat sensor fitted yet as want to fot it properly and not just have it dangling in the boost pipe. But ...

Re: Red Rev 3 tintop turbo. 4 years on and still tinkering. Been on the rollers.
nice to see you again today rob. Thanks again re those 'defi' gauges they are well worth the cash. Been to evotune today and jamie had time to look at it there and then. Got it on the rollers and started setting up the ebc but looks like I've got a weak actuator. Also a slight boost leak on the bov ...
