Re: The horror! Manual -> Auto supercharged

Aha! May have found a solution.

Never knew these systems existed and saves messing with the car. Reports of this type being driven in development by race drivers.

The horror! Manual -> Auto supercharged

I have a supercharged mk1, this one:- https://www.fensport.co.uk/pages/fensport-mr2-mk1-supercharged Now I have had this car for years and there seems to be little chance of getting a good mk1 replacement. Now i love this car and there is the problem. Due to medical issues I'm going to have to go au...

Re: Refilling of aircon

Thanks Lauren, it is firing up, it just does not cool much. Agreed at that price it is not worth faffing about, it will be changed over :) I'm currently Essex way atm. I'll see if there are any specialists near me.

Always nervous using places near me as they have a habit of bodging!

Refilling of aircon

I have a 86SC which is getting some work done to it. On the list of jobs to do is to recharge the ac unit.

However the R12 gas is banned. R134a is mentioned, some say it is ok to mix, some not. Has anyone refilled their system and ideally know a garage I can take it to?

Re: MR1- The Devildog project.

That does look like a lot of fun! Yeah it's a bit ramshackle to say the least, but everything is properly attached and aligned, i must admit i'm finding it hard to not detail stuff or grind things down smooth etc...... it really is a case of position it, weld it, move on to the next thing. Someone c...

Re: Bronze windscreen replacement

Pilkington classics sorted me out earlier this year for a bronze screen :thumleft: Bronze windscreen and bronze shadeband is £286.79 + VAT. Bargain in my mind as they are making the thing! 6-8 weeks though. Yep, that's the one! Same with me, they basically explained that they have the moulds for th...

Re: Bronze windscreen replacement

Total brainfart yesterday, having checked the paperwork it was AutoWindscreens not AutoGlass. Posts edited. That explains the confused conversation I had :D I'll give them a shout tomorrow. Bronze windscreen replacement

The supercharger was put away for the winter. Upon taking a look this morning the windscreen has cracked on the drivers side. There were no chips or marks in the area, it just appears to be one of those things. Happened in the garage over winter. Being an import I know that getting the glass is hard...

Re: CarBen Fibre Creations MK1 Part Discussion

Hi, From what you have mentioned there I'd like to see a bonnet, engine cover and boot-lid. Cheers What he said If you're prepared to think long term, make the moulds without necessarily having the orders up front and then keep the parts available I reckon you have the chance to become the goto sup...

Re: MR2 MK1 Aerodynamics

From reading the comments the chap seems approachable to run your own alterations to the model through his system. It would be interesting to see what the papal mod actually does with a hole cut behind the rad bulkhead. I am building a 3d printer but I doubt I can get a detailed enough model to prin...

Re: Best place to buy Raybrigs?

I got the full ray brig set up a while ago. Sorry to say, but i'm not impressed by them at all. A nice bright light yeah but as far as lighting up and projecting a good distance goes, i think a good set of bulbs and factory headlights are better. Interesting as I couldn't find them for a while, I w...

Goodridge mk1 braided hoses

Set of braided hoses for a mk1. BNIB, box has never been opened.

They were going to be fitted to my mk1 sprint car but arrived too late and had to use a different set. Typically they were then forgotten about.

How does £50 inc delivery sound?
