Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Thickest Speaker Spacers Before Problems Occur With Door Card

How do all... Thought I'd bring this post back to public attention ;-)

Ok, my speakers have a mounting depth of 60mm, would 20mm spacers be sufficient or should I go thicker?

Also - the speakers are Infinity Reference 6532i, has anyone installed these and if so... What spacers :-)

Thanks

Pete.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Thickest Speaker Spacers Before Problems Occur With Door Card

Hi all, I'm needing to cut some speaker spacers but without cutting them and finding their too big I thought I'd ask if anyone knew what the biggest spacers in terms of thickness I could use before I encountered problem with having to modify the door cards. I've created the template for the spacer e...

Re: thinking of selling my 2 :(

TBH fella I'd sell up and buy a Rev 3 Turbo and start again. This time you'll have loads of power and a clean slate to style the car as much as you want. You'll prob find it will be cheaper buying a turbo and styling the same as what youve got as opposed to changing the engine etc - although if you ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Help with replacing stock front speakers and general set up

Hi all, I'm currently in the process of cutting some spacers for a set of Infinity speakers that will fit into the original holes of the front speakers allowing me to keep the car looking as standard as possible. I've changed the old head unit (tape player aaarrrggghhhh) to a Kenwood single cd playe...

Re: Turbo XBrace versus aftermarket Strut Brace

All sorted cheers folks! I've opted for no XBrace and a aftermarket strut brace, which on the bright side gives me a little bit more space when messing around in the engine bay :D

Just got to wait for some dry weather now to get her out the garage 8)

Cheers

Turbo XBrace versus aftermarket Strut Brace

Hi all, I'm after a bit of advice, Basically me and a friend fitted an aftermarket interooler to my Rev 2 Turbo. After allot of issues with leaking etc we finally got the interooler and engine running sweet BUT then found that the XBrace would not fit back onto the car. This is due to the top pipe b...

[Mk2] [Turbo] New speakers that will simply drop into a fit in the door - no hassle :)

Hi all, could someone please put me in the right direction in finding some new speakers that would simply just fit into the current hole / fixings that my horrible / poor current front speakers occupy!!! I've got a Kenwood head unit but would be easily swayed in buying other makes. I'm also no...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] How to wire up headunit - do I need an adapter??..

Oh there's allot of wires :(

Seeing as I don't have a clue whatsoever regards wireing headunits up it looks like car sound will be getting a visit

All the wiring does however lead to two main White connectors (1st pic) are these the ones that go into the adapter...?

Cheers :D

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] How to wire up headunit - do I need an adapter??..

Cheers for the quick reply!!

As far as I'm aware (the car is kept at my parents so I'll check for sure tmoz) there's allot of wires (obviously) leading to a few small White connectors that look identical to those put in adapters etc.

Hope that make sense!!

I'll get more info + pics up tmoz :D

[Mk2] [Turbo] How to wire up headunit - do I need an adapter??..

Hi all, I've just got my self a very basic Kenwood CD player for my MR2 Turbo and before I start listening to the hype of how hard it is to install I thought I'd ask you guys of how it's done. On all my previous cars (although non were imports) all I've basically done is mooch to Halfords, buy an ad...
