Re: 1b fuel injectors on a 1a

Sorry to semi-hijack the thread, just wondered if anyone knows that should I happen upon a 'crossover' MK1 (MK1b but with MK1a engine/box) if there are any.. ANY other differences that would make an sc conversion different to a 'pure' MK1b? I've done the conversion before on a mk1b and it was pretty...

Re: SC folding mirrors

I'll take a look at them this weekend, they are sitting in the garage with NA wire dangling off them so it shouldn't be too hard to match sc colour > na colour if I write down what I had, I think I may have had a few custom wires going to power somewhere too which is where it get's tricky but don't ...

Re: Any artists out there ?

The biggest threat to MK1 owners joining clubs and meeting or even being interested in continued use of mr2 forums is obvious: RUST It's certainly what stopped me in my tracks from going to any meets since the last one I attended way back in 2002 I think (South Wales MK1/SC meet up just off the M4)....

Re: SC folding mirrors

I've got some of these from my original 89 SC!!!!! I'm still planning to re-use them on a future mk1 (if I can actually FIND ONE worth buying for non-stupid prices). Otherwise I may end up selling on. I love em, not even because of the retract but because of the shape, they just look more funky/exot...

White MK1 tintop, great cond..

That's not a tin top!

The thread title caught my eye as Tin Tops are rare (and desirable for performance types) but It's a sunroof (moonroof).

Re: Opinions please.......!

haha, found this seller on ebay selling an mr2 boot liner (cool, I have one didn't realise they were worth anything, may put mine on there). Anyway, someone asks him a question about a front lip and at the same time tries to sell the seller a 'lovely gold supercharger,,,' the seller (don't know who ...

Re: Considering a SuperCharger on ebay.

It looks like the rubbery plastic headlight finger guards are missing? Looks tatty in that area with them gone. Aside from that it looks tidy enough and solid enough. edited > took the waffle out. Just wanted to highlight the missing rubbers (if indeed they are and it's not just a trick of the light...

Re: How not to sell a car!

This is a relisted car, it was on there last week and I thought the same as everyone here. It looked like a model car due to the depth of field, blurring and other anomolies... kinda cool, esp in the well known 'toyota mk1 burnt orange brown' colour it seems to have going for it. ;) Seriously though...

Hey that would leave enough change from £4k to source the rest of the car that's missing. What a deal.

Please don't tell me to do anything, thankyou. The day I try and dictate what you can and can't do on a forum will be the day you are invited to respond in kind.

Re: Minty Mk1 on eBay... worth a look (Hertfordshire)

I have to agree with cartledge_uk in this instance. If the seller put it in the Autotrader at £2500 then nobody would complain, it is a case of view the car and if you think it is worth the money then pay for it. No problem at all with that, the thing is you are NOT wasting your time when you know ...

Re: Minty Mk1 on eBay... worth a look (Hertfordshire)

And you can create multiple accounts from different locations so you cant tell if its the same person. BTW, it may not be EASY to spot multiple user accounts all the time, but if you can at least click on the bidding history then on the bidders bid history you can see just how many other sellers he...

You're the only one trying to turn this into a slander fest. Re-read what you orginally wrote about ME and others on here, what you hinted at about our 'ripping off old people' ways (that's complete BS btw). You are in the minority here, everyone else can see why transparancy is good on an auction a...

Re: Minty Mk1 on eBay... worth a look (Hertfordshire)

Odd that they didn't bid again on this auction to take it over the £2100 mark. yes, exactly, who's to say that wasn't the seller (using another logon) or a shill bidder pushing it up JUST BELOW the reserve (at least that's what I think the reserve was the first time, having seen it previous @ £2500...

Re: Minty Mk1 on eBay... worth a look (Hertfordshire)

If you want a bargain, go and find an ederly owner and pay them considerably less than the car is worth and hope your conscience is clear I don't think that's quite the same is it! I know you are trying to make a point but 'suggesting' that people who use ebay will pay the minumum price at all cost...

Re: Minty Mk1 on eBay... worth a look (Hertfordshire)

I agree with Kevin. Even if you have a 'top price' you won't go beyond you shouldn't HAVE to pay that much if the interest shown from other's wasn't genuine (ie fake bids) this is especially dodgy on auctions with reserves as the seller knows that he doesn't risk winning his own auction so long as h...

Re: I don't like my knob, it feels funny

Momo do various gear knobs. Personally I would never touch another momo gearnob as long as I live. I bought the 'famous' ball type one for my MR2, I think it cost me £40 or thereabouts. 5 months later the 'chrome' had completely flaked off revealing a dull metal ball of roughly brown/brass look. It...
