[Mk2] [Generic] Can I replace my bu88ered sub with the mid range from a component set?

I`ve been hearing some distortion in the speakers on the drivers side, so had a look today. The drivers side sub is bu88ered (cones all ripped/torn) so I need to replace it. I dont want earth shattering bass and want to keep a sub in its existing enclosure, but I`m struggling to find a 5.25" su...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Passenger door central locking (I have done a search)

It could be the wire that clips to the back of the barrel and plugs into the wiring loom. Its about 20 quid for a new one, water ingress causes failure That was replaced in 2008, checked it any way and it worked fine. Now, strangely, everythings working fine. Must be a dodgy connection as already m...

[Mk2] [Generic] Passenger door central locking (I have done a search)

My passenger side central locking doesn`t work when locking from the drivers door or the inside button, but when I lock it from the passenger side door it locks both doors. The power isnt totally dead though, as the passenger lock `rocks` and I can hear the motor (or something) working, it seems it ...

What the above pics dont show you, is that you have to remove your fog lights first, as there are 2 clips behind each one

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Any suggestions on a problem with a SONY headunit ?

Tried to fit a SONY XPLODE unit to my Rev2 Glmtd yesterday, it plugged in fine and got power to it, although the active system female connections were too small for the male connectors which i thought strange and couldnt be used. It could pick up radio fine, however when trying to play a CD the uni...

[Mk2] [NA] Replacing exhaust (full system)

[Mk2] [Generic] Jap spec rev 3 rear lights

I have a UK spec mk2 MR2 rev 2, and want to change the centre panel/rear lights to rev 3+. If I get jap spec rear light clusters, is there any difference, can I simply use my existing wiring (except reverse lights) and everything will work correctly?. I`m concerned that the lenses may be different a...

[Mk2] [Generic] New to mk2`s, advice required

Hello peeps Many years ago I used to have a mk1 t-bar in silver, followed by various Celica`s. Anyway, I now fancy a mk2 (just for going to work/weekends etc). I`ve seen a rev 2 (I think) for £1800, and was hoping someone could tell me if its a fair price. Here`s the description:- "2Litre. T-ba...
