Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] back section of Legalis R exhaust blowing

I know.... I'ne never really liked Longlife as a company. Makes me wonder how so many chavs can afford stupid exhaust systems from them for their saxos etc.

maybe there is a special chav discount promotion code you can enter on the website

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] back section of Legalis R exhaust blowing

your right, its not stainless steel but I dont really see what an exhaust place can really do with the pipe. See the picture below (sorry about my terrible paint skills! :)) The red blob shows where the holes are, right on the bend. As you can see from the picture it is on the section that goes over...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] back section of Legalis R exhaust blowing

ok just went to longlife and they quoted £120 just for this small back section of exhaust and only in 2.5"..... for the same 3" section they wanted well over £200

Anyone got any better ideas for me?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] steering wheel not centred and more juddery

Yeah thats laser alignment/tracking. Did he straighten the steering wheel for you as well? I'm guessing he will probably have to go ahead and re-tap the threads for you before he can straighten the steering wheel as the steering arms/track rod ends will have to be adjusted. If you are still having i...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] back section of Legalis R exhaust blowing

what about getting a custom exhaust place to make the section? There must be other people on the forums here that have had mild steel aftermarket exhausts that have rusted through in certain sections. What have you guys done?

cheers guys

Re: [Mk2] [NA] steering wheel not centred and more juddery

Couldn't the track rod end actually be damaged? I had been noticing bumps in the road more and more so decided to jack the car up and check for play in the wheels - when I checked the driver side there was a fair bit of horizontal play. Had the track rod end replaced but then the steering wheel was ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Strange cigarette lighter problem!!!!

Thanks RST for the suggestion, all seems to be working now! I'll replace those fuses tomorrow and try again with those particular adapters, but all the other peripherals I have that need 12v from the lighter seem to be working fine!

Cheers buddy :thumleft:

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Strange cigarette lighter problem!!!!

Yeah you are right! I tried the adapters in another car and they are both not working. I'm assuming the fuses have blown in them? They were both working a week ago in another car, what could have caused them to blow? I'm guessing they have blown when i've been testing them with the fag lighter over ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Strange cigarette lighter problem!!!!

When I bought my car there was just a hole where the cigarette lighter used to be. I had a spare one lying around from a previous MR2 so tried to wire it up via switched live and earth - did not work. It was not powering up any of my chargers (iPod charger, phone charger etc). I assumed that the uni...

NUR Spec R Exhaust up for sale

I am selling my cat back NUR Spec R exhaust that I took off my 94 Rev 3 tubby recently. Just finished polishing it up in the last few hours, have a look at the pics below. There are a couple of scratches on the underneath on both cans, as my MR2 has been lowered around 35mm. However these obviously ...
