I'm a little amused at the suggestion that an MR2 isn't reliable but a scooby is.

Ok, I've decided that I want to sell everything and move on to something new. I have for sale:- 1 x 1992 J reg MR2 Turbo GTS in aquamarine 1 x Full engine with everything (this was removed from the car to fix big end bearings) 1 x engine without ancillaries 1 x Cylinder Heads with Cams, Valves etc, ...

As the title says really. Are there any options other than the standard oil pump? If so, what are they? Where can I get them? How much? Is it worth it? etc etc.

Then I can only think that you have knocked a sensor or a wire whildt doing the oil change. It does seem rather strange.

But atleast its running good again now.

I would have thought that too much oil could have been more of a problem. If its above the max level it could have been getting pushed round the breather pipe to easily. This would cause the AFM to go silly which would cut boost.

I'd be very interested. I live just outside of Selby. It depends when it would be though. I need to finish rebuilding my engine!!!

You only did an oil change? Did you change the filter? Did you run any 'engine flush/cleaner' through? Did you touch any of the sensors on the block when you did the oil change? As mentioned, simply removing the sump plug and draining oil. Refitting the sump plug and then refilling with oil, should ...

I have already broke 2 ring spanners (its ok they are cheepies) this morning using a scaffold tube trying! That may be the problem! Use quality tools. It makes a huge difference. If you swing off that scaffold bar on a Halfords Professional or snap on ratchet then I'd be amazed if it broke. Make su...

Oh...and I just use little tie wraps to hold the hoses on to the connectors. No real pressure to worry about.
