Thats very kind Paul, il asses the situation at this end, being in London and only owning 1 car may make this difficult for me but il def consider it if I can get to you.

Hi, Just been informed I need a new offside rear hub assembly for my 1989mk1b. Please excuse my lack of tech knowledge but does the hub unit come as one entire piece?? Rear Cluncking noise....only after the motorway???

After taking the car on the motorway the other day I slowed for petrol and began experiencing a rear cluncking noise coming from the rear drivers side wheel. I inspected around the tyre and got underneath to find nothing out of sorts. It sounds almost like theres something in the tyre thats knocking...

Thanks for your quick response,

I must say Im not 100% as iv got a mate trying to sort it with a garage Iv always used etc and Im away down in London...but all I know is that its the rear track control arm??....Failed the MOT so proberly rusted?...breaker job could be a good bet.

Track Contol Arm

Hi all,

My Mk1b has just failed the MOT due to needing a new track control arm.....the chap sorting it thinks its a TOYOTA main dealer-only job and I cant find anyone when google searching.

Any ideas guys as its looking pricey

Iv been driving mine around Cov for years whilst I was at uni there.....the A45 was a daily commute for me as well. Mine is blue but i dont think iv ever parked at the showcase cinema....oh well!

bloody hell thats cheap.....i think cus the doors and carpets etc etc have to come off its a big labour job. Suspension mountings may have to in parts as well but well done non-the-less.

ok guys iv had a quote and its guna cost £400. The doors and possibly even the front wings will have to be removed in the process but Im going ahead with the work anyway. The one thing I should have to look forward to is the car will be A1 mint by the time this is all done!

Secure the filter on to the throttle body then all I did was drill a hole into the sleeve to put the breather tube into it. Dont really know if thats 'exactly' what you should do but mine runs fine and at least the breather is getting filtered air. Just make sure its a good tight fit (but not too ti...

I suppose it just depends where the rot is in relation to the suspension mountings.

intersesting.......excuse me if i sound like a doofuss but as its around the suspension mountings does that mean I wont have to drop the suspension or anything like that??
