Is there any technical reasons to keep the AC Assembly after AC has been removed?
I want to pull it out but want to make sure there is no reason to keep it.

I still hold a flicker of a hope that I will be ready to join TSS in A-Pro this year, but it might be another year of just doing trackdays in 2015

Re: March trackday bargains
As a previous attendee of one of your days, I can vouch for the value and environment that you provide. I can't however commit to either day unfortunately as both tracks are a bit of a drive for me

I'm in. Castle Combe is pretty central (or local to me and people in the South at least....)
Blyton was good, but a trek to say the least, and I only came from the Worcester!

Re: The Green Hornet
So with the MOT & Tax expiring on the car last November combined with the wet weather, I holed the 2 up in the garage for the winter. With the plan firmly on TSS regs, I know what needs to be done, and am trying to get on with it in what little time I have available. Roll cage Fire extinguisher ...

Good choice . What a/r have you gone for? Mine is 0.82. I don't suppose your Corolla mate has a boost map from the dyno does he? I'd be interested to see the spool characteristics on a different engine. Going for a .62, the Corolla is using a .82 but it's a fair bit lighter than the mr2. I'll...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] engine mods, engine swap, more power etc etc.....
Fair point, I reckon the gtx28 would spool really nicely if the 3071 is anything to go by. I only drove my car once with the new turbo, and I left it at 1 bar. The roads were damp and it felt insanely quick. I'm sure.you wouldn't be disappointed with a GTX How is it for driveability with the gtx30?...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Driveshafts question ?
No probs :thumleft: The car has taken a backwards step at the minute, all in the name of 'development'.... I've stripped the interior as I need a roll cage for the TSS, but it's way too cold to venture out to the garage!! I took a break over the festive period. I hope to get some things sorted over ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Driveshafts question ?
From what I know, I'd say no. The LSD shafts are different (splined shaft length?), and the ABS rings are on the shaft, so the ABS wouldn't work with non-ABS shafts.

Re: CFM Engineering
Fair point. I wanted to save a few quid.... I should probably have started a thread asking.for race car prep recommendations. I've chatted with Rogue, but don't like the side protection of their cage. I like the look of the Custom cages cage. Trouble is, I don't really have 2 grand to have one fitte...

Anyone got any experience with Cfm Engineering in Reading (formerly StonerRacing.I think)?
I'm considering.having a cage fitted there, but have seen a couple of worrying reviews on Google.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] engine mods, engine swap, more power etc etc.....
I'm no expert, but my Gtx3071 made just shy of 500fwhp with many supporting mods. That was at 1.7 bar, so perhaps with more boost it could make more. I'd be surprised if the gtx28 could make nearly 500Hp.

I have a 5S block and just de-tuned from a GT35 to a GTX3071 and I couldn't be happier. You can't tell from the pics in the link, but full boost is around 4700RPM with it building from around 3800rpm. http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=176471&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=60 S...
