Re: Extremely cheap MR2 Turbo

Does that include reconning the inside of existing engine? What sort of stuff do I need? On my old Astra, turbo conversion meant new piston linings, pistons piston rings etc. is all this included?? What sort of power increases?? So many questions.....

Re: Extremely cheap MR2 Turbo

Just wondering, coz I bought mine for £3000 last May, it's a 93-K, UK Spec T-Bar with 110000 on clock. Trouble is I want a tubby now, and having spe...

Re: How to donut?

Would have to agree that N/A lacks the power in the dry. Number of times I've tried to turn 180 in a cool fashion and I've landed up heading straight on!!!!!
Tend to find I get loads of understeer, which really p1sses me off!! Must be a crap driver!

Re: Insurance

Have just insured with Norwich Union for £540 fully comp. Am 25 3yr NCB, live outside Birmingham and declared 3 points.

Could give them a go, they might quote you happy

Certainly cheaper than Tesco or Egg, but they weren't too bad either

Re: iPOD owners might wanna look at this

Why not just get an MP3 headunit?? Can't honestly tell me that the i-pod can improve an already compressed format and make it sound better than it does from a CD. OK, the storage, but you can put pictures on CD, and much other stuff (maybe not full DVD's uncompressed), and if you keep 25 cd's in the...

Re: N/A Rev2 Knocking

Hi, That sounds about right, having taken it on it's journeyt, I am sure it's not the big ends. Cant get a recording as it's not overly loud. Guess I'll just have to live with it until I can be ar$ed to get under the thing, when it's warmer. Off the subject, but is the name Raistlin from a book by a...

Re: N/A Rev2 Knocking

Will try and get a recording at some point, I've got to take it on a 200 mile journey today, so I guess I'll find out if its gonna get worse. I've changed the oil twice times since I've had it (7 months and 8000 miles) though the level was a touch low when I checked it. Will bear all in mind and try...

Re: N/A Rev2 Knocking

Cheers JJ, Are you sure this is it though? I can rev the engine high when out of gear and it still sounds sweet, sounds more like some kind of vibration against the bulkhead btwn engine and cockpit. I have linked it to the gear linkage rubbing somewhere, but can't see where. Every so often I can't g...

N/A Rev2 Knocking

I appear to have developed a knocking noise from the engine bay. If I had a normal car, I would say it sounds like the exhaust rattling on the rear axle, but it isn't. Anyone got any ideas? I have looked underneath, but can't see anything out of place. It's particularly bad when I am turning the eng...
