Re: [Mk2] [NA] Rev 1 electrics under the steering column
Hmmm... shouldn't be a turbo timer, it's N/A!!! Did a test with the old multimeter across that short section of wire too which showed no current :-k Though now I'm going to have to go do that again as I reckon the batterywas probably disconnected when I did the test!! Really doing my hea...

Blue wire on battery (Rev1)
Anyone know what the blue wire is that's connected onto the live terminal on the battery? Is this the charge lead from the alternator or is it the main live feed to the car?

Only tro...

Removed each fuse one at a time and the multimeter still read 0.2 (on 200mA setting, this the right setting? scared of blowing something up! ) Tried the bulb in the boot, it wasn't working at all so I removed it anyway, no differenc...

Re: Flat battery, draining overnight MK2
:-k :-k :-k :-k Tested as described, used the multimeter on the 200mA setting, it showed 0.02 across the earth lead and earth terminal. Removed each fuse one at a time in the front and rear fuse box... which made no difference at all. Still read 0.02 with each fuse taken out. So I tried the relays, ...

Re: Flat battery, draining overnight MK2

[Mk2] [NA] Rev 1 electrics under the steering column
Anyone know what these are/were? They're under the steering column on the right hand side. The wires behind my dash have been butchered in all sorts of places by a previous owner. Something's draining my battery and I'm trying to figure out what. http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v1189/196...

Re: Flat battery, draining overnight MK2
No it's not a turbo, though I didn't know you shouldn't push start turbos! Alternator belt seems fine, never hear it slipping and the charge meter is always up there near 18. No stereo in it either so I don't know what could be draining it apart from the alarm. Hate electrical fualts, I can ne...

Push started it and drove it a fair bit last night, then it was fine this morning. Off to buy a multimeter m...
