Re: Need a new Toyota Badge (MK2)

Really? Impressive, I'll be getting onto them. Thanks :thumleft:

So the front bumper isn't metal? I thought it was, think I'll try and get a photo of the alledged rust on here tomorrow. (If it stops raining for long enough to get a decent photo!)

Re: Need a new Toyota Badge (MK2)

Well it's only the front I need so there's a start! Really could do with avoiding painting it for now... though I will need 1 arch, 1 sill and the under badge are doing eventually. Hmmm... time to get quotes methinks.

Need a new Toyota Badge (MK2)

Any recomendations on where to get one???

Also, where the badge was I have a badge shaped bubble of rust, perfect outline of the circles that make up the T. Any ideas how to deal with this or should I just cover it up with a newun???

Re: topping up the antifreeze

Aye... I've always used tap water in the past, never had a problem! And usually just tip about a litre of neat antifreeze (Usually car plan) in the expansion tank when November comes around.

Re: topping up the antifreeze

Interesting... How should the coolant look??? The stuff in mine is kinda brown/Biege. I pulled a big tube out of the expansion tank which was covered in some biege ish gunky stuff... fairly thick actually but the stuff got thinner the lower down I went. Is this the "for life" coolant I've ...

Re: Flat battery, draining overnight MK2

Re: Flat battery, draining overnight MK2

Well I spoke to my friendly neighbourhood mechanic today who also thought it would be the drop in overnight temp that's done it. Strange though that it was parked up on the sea front overnight on Friday night where it was much colder and deeply iced over but started with no problem on Saturday morni...

Flat battery, draining overnight MK2

Morning all Got a Rev1 which seems to be draining the battery overnight. It's been fine for the week and a bit I've owned it. Then I went out to a flat battery yesterday morning. So I push started it and drove it 5 mins up the road. Battery meter was reading just below 18V. Then when I stopped I tri...

Re: The start of the winter season... MR2 Tips..

Not an option for me unfortunately... have only enough pennies to run 1 car. I always left the lights up on my mk1, gather I should be doing the same now with my mk2? Is that the first setting on the lights stalk?? I still haven't had chance to have a good root around the motor

Re: Short Journeys [MK2]

Hmmm... oil, now here's something I've never really thought much about... Synthetic is the way then is it? Even in a motor that's done over 100k? I was told before that you should not go too thin if it's not had thin synthetic stuff in before?

Re: MK2 which revision?

Well looking at the pic it does look like it has half a brace on it. The only thing that worries me, well, it doesn't worry me too much, maybe excites me is a better way of puting it... is that I hear the rev 1 is a touch more twitchy?
