If you look carefully the bearing in the mount is offset in relation to the mounting studs...if you get it fitted the wrong way around it changes the CASTER of your suspension. So it is important to get it the right way round.

Re: Dale on the BBC
Anyone know if Dale ever had his car RR'd? I'm assuming the wild 300bhp claims are just the BBC making stuff up, but it would be interesting to know what difference the 100 shot actually made.

Re: Poly bush question
The outer of the bush is not supposed to rotate freely inside the arm but the inner sleeve that goes in the poly bush is supposed to turn in the bush so make sure you apply plenty of the special lubricant supplied with the kit. The pitting you are seeing is not a major problem so don't worry about i...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best way to remove brake line from suspension strut??
Not that it's relevant but if it's a p1551ng contest, I've been an engineer for 32 years :) Anyway back on topic...if it was a requirement for there to be a split in the bracket it would have been manufactured that way. Cutting it is a bodge IMO and I'm entitled to that opinion the same as everyone ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best way to remove brake line from suspension strut??
IMO only bodgers cut the bracket  everyone else does it the way it was designed by Toyota. Undo the banjo bolt at the caliper, thread the pipe up through the bracket, fit new strut, re-thread hose through the new strut bracket and refit using new copper washers to the caliper, then bleed the s...

If you are going to two-tone route I would say get the whole of the centre panels done a different colour. See pictures of mine below with perforated centre panels...not everyone's cup of tea but they suit my Zircon Blue car. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b13/Poohbear9044/Retrim/Retrim4.jpg http...

I don't believe they will since they are for a Rev1 car which has a mechanical speedo whereas Rev2 + cars are electronic.

Short Video Of My V6 Today
Managed to get out for a quick blast today with the video camera and mount. First vid since having the new manifolds, 'Y' pipe and CAT fitted. Decided to shoot the vid looking out the back for a change for a different perspective. Couldn't go too mad as there was still ice around on the shady bits o...

Re: What's quicker, V6 mr2 or rev1 turbo??
Nice one - thanks for the link and dyno plot :) Going by what's posted in the MR2OC.co.uk thread Bob is running: Rev2 3VZ-FE with Apexi filter, ported & flowed heads, de-cat & Mongoose exhaust 208.6bhp & 215ft lb @ fly. I had a quick search on IMOC for a similarly lightly modded rev2 tu...

Re: What's quicker, V6 mr2 or rev1 turbo??
I would say my V6 conversion is a typical one so..... I dont believe there is much in it between my V6 and slightly modded Rev1/2 turbo's, most I've seen at RR days I've attended have made less than 210bhp @ the fly. At the same RR day my V6 made 208 bhp & 215 ft lb @ the fly so virtually nothin...

Re: getn my v6 this sat - need driving advice!
My best 1/4 mile time in my V6 stands at 14.6, this was at Japshow Santapod in October into a raging headwind, I'm confident in the summer with a dry track and less wind I could get down to 14s but I think that would be as fast as it could get without further work. Point to note though, on that part...

I dunno 10K seems reasonable to me....hell of a lot more car than an 09 fiesta for the same money.....it will be worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.
