Re: [Mk3] [Generic] Mk 3 MR2 Info VS MX-5 £7.5k to spend

well done you. and i'm not doubting your opinion. however these comments infer that a mk2 is NO fun in corners and if the chassis is only compromised at best, what is it at worst? the mk2 is a very capable car, but not as good as the mk1/mk3. i think thats what you meant to say. At worst it really ...

Re: [Mk3] [Generic] Mk 3 MR2 Info VS MX-5 £7.5k to spend

I adore the MX5.

Everything about it is just so much fun.

Forget that x car corners .01g more than y car.

Just for the money, there are so few cars you can drop the roof on a sunny day, point it down a country lane, and enjoy everything that is fun about driving.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Mr2 Turbo VS Pulsar GTIR

I've now got one of each. Lightly modified Rev2 turbo, and a lightly modified GTiR. It's horses for courses really. GTiR obliterates my MR2 off the line, but I wouldn't be launching the Pulsar too often, as Mr Gearbox is a pain in the ar$e to change. On the GTiR, the weak link is the brakes. As stan...

Re: Hatfield tunnel + two ferrari 360s having a play.Oh.My.God

Could have been my mate Stuart in the 360, as he lives near there.

Car just sounds like audio porn, especially when they have something like a Tubi on them.

Just search youtue for Ferrari tubi and you'll see what I mean!

By the way Jon, was that your letter in EVO this month?

[Mk2] [Generic] Electric window/mirror fuse location..

Not my car, but a mate who has a 91 n/a, whose electric windows and mirrors have packed up.

I'm presuming it's a fuse, but I need to communicate the info by email.

Anyone know which fuse it is, and in which location?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] 3 seats in a mr2 is it possible

Funnily enough, I pulled up a set of traffic lights a few weeks ago alongside another MR2.

Cursory glance across, and yes.... it was three up, with one teenager sitting in place of the centre box. Sat there as the lights changed, amazed by the sight I had just witnessed!

I know a lot of people that ave got cossies. and to say u dont like the drivers is abit nobish. They are a wicked breed of car and every type car on the road i am sure has got to ave 1 div behind the wheel. I agree its quite ridiculous to state that every driver of a given car is a duffer. Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rear wheel drive courses - recommendations wanted!

My mate has a Z3 turbo Really? Aftermarket turbo kit and it's as slow as an n/a? Its a standard turbo - came on the car from the factory. i think it may be a rare one as it is in an uncommon colour and has more flared arches than the normal car. Its nice, but I prefer my two by miles. I drove it re...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Hitting the rev limit is it really bad for the car??

on a side note, anyone else see boy racers who just sit in a car park or at the lights and just bounce the revs for the limiter repeatly, also driving in low gear and waiting for the car to hit the limiter a couple of times before they change up. when i hear it, i just feel so sorry for the car, th...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] HELP! - My life savings on an Tubby at 17, am i crazy?

Don't do it. Irrespective of age and experience, paying the value of a car to insure it for one year is simple mismanagement of your finances. Get yourself something cheap and cheerful, build up some no claims bonus, and reap the rewards in years to come. I know the desire to "have it now"...

Wounder! That must have been quite a moment as well! Sorry to see it gone, but bottom line is, it is just a car/piece of metal etc..... Far more important things in this world to worry about. Doesn't look like a bad reshell job though, but your call obviously. Stay away from the Polos though - Golf ...

[All] [Generic] Can I turn off square brackets in post titles?

I'm sure there's probably been some 50 page topic that I missed, but I've done a search and couldn't see it. Is there any way of turning off the square brackets in post titles? All that [Mk2 Turbo Generic] nonsense makes the page look awful and very difficult to scan. Is this a permanent feature? P....

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Should i swap my MR" Tubby for an elise?

I've had a fair amount of drives of Elises (both S1 and 2s) and I absolutely love them. My last comparison is probably a little unfair as it was a mate's car, it's modified AND it was a glorious sunny day. Not a lot better than that really. I had dismissed going for one as well, because of the lack ...
