Re: portable heaters

I saw one of those the other day. There £20 right? The heating in my mises car is not working right and have ordered her one of these as a quick fix. (cheaper than fixing heater matrix, the car is old, newer car coming soon) Should come in on Monday - can let you know if it arrives then! :)

Re: [Mk2 NA] Decatted Today!! :-)

Yep, Mongoose and Decat. Much louder than i was expecting.............and needless to say it didnt meet the noise limits for the trackday either (hence the cat stayed on after MOT so could do trackday). But it did sound loud!, fairly threatening up to 3k, markedly louder (real loud!) between 3 and 4...

Re: [Mk2 NA] poor mpg

I am getting similare too. £41 = 45ltrs = 330miles =32.9mpg :D it used to be nearer 36mpg 6 months ago too! To be honest it has never really varied that much whether i give it alot of stick or not. (even on my trackday i got about 24mpg (changing up at 6k) guess im lucky.........? having said that m...

Find that too - inside is relatively quiet but outside and behind the car all hell is breaking loose  :D \:D/ 8) great for tunnels. With Decat is does get pretty loud even inside the car - if you take the soundproofing out from behind the seats it gets even louder still (time for the ear pl...

No doubt that slower drivers not moving over is a real PITA. ](*,) Trouble is that by undertaking you run the risk of someone getting pi$$ed off by you doing so and they then swerve across in front of you "to show their point". Similare logic to "i'll show them they should move over b...

Re: Clutch and brake nipple size?

I used a 8mm ring spanner to loosen the brake bleed nipple, (right before it broke clean off.......... #-o ](*,) ) so size to fit that. I dont think there are many sizes, i just gave my car detail at parts shop and it fitted fine :)
