Re: [All] [Generic] putting a bit of methanol in the tank to help lean out AFR's?

By evaporating water into the inlet tract are we not displacing air, and by doing that reducing the amount of fuel we can burn, and so reducing the energy in the cylinders? I don't know- just trying to work out what effect the steam has other than apparently reducing the inlet temp. Water will neve...

Re: [All] [Generic] putting a bit of methanol in the tank to help lean out AFR's?

Its common knowledge that injecting water will cool the intake charge until the charge reaches 100% RH, this is due to evaporative cooling The cooling effect is achieved when you change the state of the liquid to a gas as most of the heat energy is used to do this state change Please see Charles's l...

So we inject some water before the turbo, it changes phase and yet you believe that no energy is used in the process, and you say I am clueless...Dear god.

Re: What subs you got? homemade or any active subs that fit ?

The subs get full xmax no problem at all in the behind seat position These are not the best pics but show how large the boxes are compared to the other poorly designed ones you see knocking about, I think these were circa £200 each for the boxes alone when I bought them. http://i42.photobucket.com/a...

Re: What subs you got? homemade or any active subs that fit ?

Sounds like you want to do the reverse to me, increase the low pass filter to closer to 200hz if the sub is doing nothing and then overpowering the front stage when it gets a signal.

Depends what your taste in music is, I had over 1kw RMS and it wasn't enough but then I also have another car with 10kw RMS and that isn't enough either.

Re: What subs you got? homemade or any active subs that fit ?

I have a pair for sale in the for sale area here, way better than the ones they sell on here or on ebay, totally different league.

They have subs with them and I can also supply an amp to run them if need be.

Engine/gearbox price?

Hi,

What would be the going rate for an unopened/stock rev2 turbo engine and box?

No turbo/ECU/AFM/ex manifold/intercooler/pipework but everything else included.

It will work if you attack parts of the strut and inner wing, mine ran with that front setup.

Before you decide on the rebuild take it to Peter, it's likely to save you a lot of time and money.
