Dilema - need advice

Right I need some advice. Myself and the other half own a 94 Rev 3 GTS turbo T-bar. The paint work in in poor condition (its going pink). It has a damaged passenger door (needs a new skin), bent rear shock (not an MOT fail but the tyres wears out faster than the others on the outer edge). It also ne...

[Mk2] [Turbo] 17" Wheels questions

Hi I have a rev 3 turbo with 17" SSR Integral wheels. One of them is buckled. They are quite rare but if I do manage to find 1 or 2 fronts I want to make sure they are the correct off-set and width. The ones I have don't rub much at all. They are mainly for show and I have an original set of 15...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help, caliper came off while driving.

Chris no offence mate but with what your saying it seems your not fully aware of the workings of the calipers. If you repair the caliper yourself then get someone who knows what they are doing to check it over afterwards. It seems like you didnt tighten the caliper retaining bolts and it could of p...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help, caliper came off while driving.

I took the caliper off last night, one of the rubber seals had fluid and air in it. I have managed to get that out and it looks normal again. Will this need replacing? or is it a case of put it back on and see if its leaking?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help, caliper came off while driving.

Did the caliper and carrier fall off or just the caliper? TBH I cant see how just the caliper could fall off due to its design of how its fixed, it would have to be the whole assembley which means carrier and caliper - and therefore nothing to do with the slider bolts. No the carrier is fine, I can...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help, caliper came off while driving.

ok the one you can pull out freely is supposed to be like that the one at the bottom you should be able to do the same. you can get slider bolt kits from Sbits even come with a nice baggy of grease but there are two bolt which bolt into the top of them holding the caliper so that it "floats&qu...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help, caliper came off while driving.

Are the slider bolts? are these the bolts on which the caliper bolts bolt into? the top one was loose in that I could pull it out with just hand strength, this part did confuse me as I cannot see how it bolts into the caliper bracket? The bottom one moves round with a socket wrench but have not had ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Help, caliper came off while driving.

Hi, I have a 94 GTS turbo. About 3 months ago I changed the front brake pads, this is a job I have done loads of times before on other jap imports and one I have done once before on the tubby. While driving home on a country lane at about 55 I went over a large bump and heard a rattle like a nut com...

Re: SantaPod 12th March, how do these figures compare.

Best 60ft was 1.89 Top Speed for the 13.2 was 102 but I did a 13.3 and the top speed was 105 but had a worse 60ft. I have done quite a bit of drag racing before in my old FTO but this is the first time the MR2 has been running right becuase my BOV was causing a boost leak. Funny day today because at...

SantaPod 12th March, how do these figures compare.

I organised a meet for the FTOOC at Santapod today, as my FTO is long gone I went in my MR2. Ran 13.20 in myREV3 T-bar which is running 16PSI boast with a blitz electronic controller, has a de-cat Apexi N1 and HKS air filter. How does this compare to other people with a similar spec. I have got the ...

Rev 3 tubby belts

Don't ask me how but the alternator belt shredded off yesterday. I got recovered home by the RAC as they did not know what sort of belt it was. Could someone post some part numbers or belt lengths cheers :D Also I assume the other belt is for the aircon/power steering. I can see how to change the al...

Re: Can anyone solve this boost problem??

Do you know what you might just be right as someone from the US IMOC was saying something to me about BOV's when I was in Vegas with them last year but I was a bit drunk and did not really know what he was talking about. Will try a different one. Where did you get yours from?? Will try and take a pi...
