jim
hope your well
never time your cams according to the ecu!!!
cams MUST only be dialled mechanically.
set your crank tdc and then find the cam tdc.
then adjust the cams as per manufacturers spec.
this takes some time and the use of proper dial gauges.
be patient jim and take your time.

on a personal scale ATS TURBOS are pants.. had 2..both oil seals went.! Should have gone for the greddy kit. Sorry to hear that buddy But you are a one off my friend! Greddy kits have boost creep massively! the ATS kit is a killer turbo for its size- awesome. if your overboosting with an mbc...

Re: [All] [Generic] which turbo kit do you guys use
absolutely none at all
the greddy td06 struggle with overboost issues etc as they are internally gated but the ats kits are externally gated and suffer no such issues

Re: [All] [Generic] which turbo kit do you guys use
I wonder where you could have heard that??
I have NEVER heard of any ATS turbos being prone to failure! EVER!!
However given your list and goals id say your looking more towards the gt35 sc61 sized range as 500 is out of reach for the TD06.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] KO Racing Street Brawler Kit
If you want to start pushing and your taking the head off anyway id do the pistons for the hell of it - saves you labour for the job in the future.
However you cant change injectors until you have a control method - ecu etc.
What power are you aiming for

Re: [Mk2] [NA] 150mph in 4th gear from an NA!!!
fuel to the fire i suppose! I clocked 207mph on the dyno in a 5th gear pull - but i had 8500rev limit taller tyres and on a dyno there is no wind resistance i had a few 200+ runs as my 3rd and 4th gears decided to bu88er up and 2nd is too unstable to map in hence using 5th. needless to say i immedia...
