Mr2 Turbo Universal CV Boots?
3 out of the 4 boots need replacing so might aswell do all lot, however they are £80 per driveshaft from Toyota. Im all for doing things properly but im not paying £160 for 4 bits of rubber out of principle. Anyone had success with these universal types and got any links to some decent alternatives?...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] SMIC Aftermarket Intercooler - Any Good. Views Please!
thanks mate, i mean you bolt the intercooler onto where the old original shroud bolted in, im using the bolts from this but having trouble reaching through the new shroud and intercooler bracket with them just wanted to see if people are using the same bolts as they look a bit small for purpose. Ill...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Sod it, following on from the IC thread
im halfway through putting mine on mate the intercooler block itself looks like a nice bit of kit, got it in the engine bay just need to connect the hoses up. Good buy for the money if u ask me. Get the shroud before u put it on if u can, there will be a lot of room around the intercooler if you don...

Ive just gone and bought one with the shroud from gtschris, going to reuse my existing fan, ill let u all know how i get on in the new few days. Looks like a half decent kit for the price even if it turns out to be crap compared surely its better than the junk on there to start with.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] is my oil ok ( 5w - 30A1 synthetic )
Ill bump it for more replies, the oil u got should be ok its fully synt, the mr2 manual suggests its ok but that was from the early nineties nowdays people recommend somethin with a higher rating as oil has moved forward somewhat. Its not recommended to mix oils too so id leave as is and top up with...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] is my oil ok ( 5w - 30A1 synthetic )
I think it will be ok but i think 5w30 is a bit on the thin side if your putting any sort of load on your car, i think a 10w40 would be better and this is generally what is recommended on this forum. I dont know much about all the API stuff but if your bored http://www.carbibles.com/engineoil_bible....

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] smoke
Not sure about the bov although ive used one on my rev 2 and it ran like a piece of s*it, reason i say it could be a leak is i had a similar problem with oil dropping on the exhaust from a leak on the head and it filled the engine bay with smoke when stood still, could still be water leaking from th...
