I know air in know air in the coolant makes Mk1's hunt and rev funny, not so sure about Mk11's. My radiator sprung a leak a few weeks ago and i know it was not topped up 100% when i drove it up to James but it seemed to run fine... The strange looking sensor on the engine lid just controlls the fan ...
