Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] How do you lower the rpm's that TVIS comes in at?
On the fuel side of things i found this site http://www.mr2turbo.info/diff.html If this is correct then the injectors are 110cc bigger, they added an air temp sensor after turbo and intercooler and from what you've said a map sensor instead of AFM. This would mean loom, sensor and ecu change... not ...

Re: Coolant Hoses
I know it I grew up in tollesbury, was there for 24 years. I now live in clacton. Do you know Alex gager (superredmr2 on here) and his white mk1? I've spent many hours under his car. How much do they charge for hoses then? Do they get them bent same shape as Toyota ones or is it a generic straight h...

Re: Does a CT20 turbo from a Hilux fit a Mk2 MR2?
Can they drill and balance it? What sort of cost am I looking at? There is a ct20 I know of that's not mega expensive but it has 0.5mm play apparently. Would this be better idea? I don't really have enough to get turbo.and repair kit though but if it is a lot better than putting ct20 shaft into a ct...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] How do you lower the rpm's that TVIS comes in at?
Hmm... I'm guessing I can't just use a rev3 ecu as they don't have afm. Is the afm the only sensor diffetence or do some of the others differ? What do the rev 3's have instead, a maf? Could I get away with rail and sensor change then rev3 Ecu?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] How do you lower the rpm's that TVIS comes in at?
Ive heard about the rev1-2 fuel system not being as good as rev3 on. Is all I have to do chane injectors or is there more to it than that? I have read that Supra tt 550cc injectors fit straight into the side feed MR2 rail. Would these work? Or even just rev3 injectors? Would I need to change fuel sy...

Re: Does a CT20 turbo from a Hilux fit a Mk2 MR2?
that clears that up then :P. I have found this http://www.turbodynamics.co.uk/shop/9091200001r-genuine-shaft-wheel-ct20-p-2403.html ct20 turbo shaft and compressor wheel. I may just fit this into mt CT26. Apparently all that needs to be done is drill out the housing where the shaft goes through to a...

Does a CT20 turbo from a Hilux fit a Mk2 MR2?
will the CT20 Turbo from the Toyota Hilux fit straight onto the Mk2 MR2? If not what has to be done to make it fit? I have a CT26 but want to install a CT20.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] How do you lower the rpm's that TVIS comes in at?
mine is a rev1 (rev2's have them as well). I don't know if they are fitted to rev3's onwards or not. it comes in at 4500rpm. that is optimal for standard but with better airflow due to exhaust, inlet and other upgrades you lose low down power from it not coming in sooner because of the way tvis work...

My one blew a hole in itself last week... head is off for re-skim already and metal hg being ordered. I am thinking of buying some aftermarket ones but am a bit tight money wise so if someon...

Yeah I was going to do all of them. I've seen/worked on a few engines where cambelt was supposedly gone when infact it was the tensioner letting go.

[Mk2] [Turbo] ultrasonic injector clean
My injecotrs have done approx 80,000 miles work. I have cylinder head off at the moment and am about to take it to the engineers. There is a fuel specialists down the road from them. Would it be worth getting the injectors ultrasonicly cleaned? would it make major difference? or would it be waste of...

[Mk2] [Turbo] How do you lower the rpm's that TVIS comes in at?
Hi all. I have heard of lowering the TVIS for engines putting out around 300bhp or more is beneficial for lower down power as you are flowing more air than stock so don't need it to come in as late. how would I go about making it come in 1000rpm less? could I make something to vary it like installin...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Will this celica cambelt kit fit my car?
Hi all, i'm back after two years :P... I missed owning an mr2. Instead of a 4agze I now have a 3sgte rev1 with 300ish bhp. I have a tight budget at the moment but will this cambelt be ok and will it fit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-CELICA-ST162-ST165-2-0-85-90-3SGE-3SGTE-TIMING-CAM-BELT-TENSIONE...

Re: 2zz-ge engine with 1zz crank
someone does an adaptor flange for the manifold so that will be ok if I can get one, the pfc would be a down the line thing in 6 months but def good idea. Far as cryo'd bolts go i've read about them and there seems to be split opinion, some people say that yes they def wear longer but when they do b...
